@jenniferenskat Right you are... I guess you don't have the long hair that everyone used to have. What kind of cameras did they use and what kind of company filmed you guys for this commercial?
@dadsoldtapes I'm surprised you found footage of YouTube from yourself... wonder how you did so? I'm too young to remember but the 1980s was the craze of home video - everyone was recording every TV show they had a passing interest in, and that is why the great majority of my uploads are commercials from that era.
I should also add that the 1980s had the best jingles you would ever see in commercials... I have many tapes at home of shows and commercials recorded from like 1995 to early 2000s but since those commercials are so similar to today's commercials you want to flip channels to avoid watching I haven't bothered to upload any of them... yet.
If you want to read a cool book that just came out, it's called "The Kids Are Alright." The woman in the above Brim commercial was on a bunch of soap operas, and ended up dying of cancer in the late 80's. Her husband was killed in a car accident, so each of their four children went to stay with weirdo friends and relatives. They're all adults now and wrote about the experience. It's a pretty good book. The woman was on Loving, The Doctors, and a bunch of other stuff.
I made a bet with my partner tonight.... looser cleans the kitchen after dinner. He said the closing line was "fill to the rim... with brim." I said it was "fill it to the rim... with the richness of brim." He died laughing when we saw this. I won... he's cleaning the kitchen now... ha ha. Thank you... Brim... for your richness.
@iamhere233 I am pretty sure there were several versions of this tagline over the years. My sister and I used to act out a '70s-era Brim commercial just for laughs. The conflict between the two people was evoked with the line, "...Only half a cup? I thought you liked my coffee." I am almost 100% positive the last lines of the happy denouement were "So, fill it to the rim!" "...With Brim!"
I can't describe this coffee. Better off drinking the water floating the boat.

Nothing shows celebration like a cup of really bad decaffinated coffee.
