Lol... only just about.... they have rickerbys coming out to it all the time to fix it.... although, this has been the best mccormick they have had. No problems all summer actually ..... they got a new xtx 185 ... not 10 hours on the clock and the gearbox went BANG.... 4 months later, only just got it back. and that has the gray chassis. Fucking Italians... lol..
Tell me about it. I saw the first Italian CX when it came over, it was a right bag of shite. There where bits stuck out all over the place, it was that bad where they had chipped the paint it had already started to rust. There has always been a problem with McCormick transmissions, French built. Keep your eyes open for the KAMAZ XTX, the Russians are building them. They got our line when we shut, they are building them from the ground up. All in house, transmission too.
That new hood is a pain in the backside, they come in two lengths. You really need to know your onions to tell them apart. The Morro brothers decided it was better to assemble them in house rather than buy them in already built up. It's a member of their family that makes them for McCormick, to Landini looking if you ask me. As for the decals, they were cheaper. The old white decals were made by Leger Signs from Doncaster.
O. just a quick question. I'm wanting to take my tractor license test soon when i turn 16. I will probably be taking the test in a McCormick mtx, but maybe if im lucky will get the xtx. The all have the same transmission. That powershift one where you slide it up the gear box with your thumb.....
Will this be classed as a manual... or a Semi-automatic?
It should be classed as a manual I should imagine, you still need to work through the gears yourself. Even though your only using your thumb.
I'm thinking of doing another video showing some McCormick machines. I've got a photo of a VTX, it was the prototype for the XTX. There was only ever two in existence, one had cool tinted glass. The orange XTX in my other video was the first ever XTX for KAMAZ, only four orange ones where built in Doncaster.
HAHA... the tractor in the video above.... its been sent off to be fixed.... 4 wheel drive keeps making a loud noise as if something is catching.... Bloody hell, and just as the weather is nice and everyone want you to chop for em.

O right cool, i will keep my eye out.. What do you think about the new bonnet look of the xtx, is it 145?? im not a fan.. what do you think?
I think that havin the mccormick logo and model number on that strip is a good idea. There was never any room to name sign the tractors.
