An allstar cast on Harveys album. Reminds me of my dear departed friend Raymond Jones coming to my house with his mac and interface boxes to lay some drum tracks right over tunes then take them home and mix.PRICELESS.
Man, I forgot Harvey Mason did solo studio albums. It featured the artists he played alongside on George Benson's "Breezin'". Add Bob James, Dave Grusin, Verdine White, Lee Ritenour, Tom Scott, David T. Walker, Victor Fieldman, Louis Johnson, Steve Forman and the Tower Of Power Horns into the mix and you've got one BAD kickass Album.
This reminds me of the GREAT Robbie Vincent radio show on Radio London, and he made the comment I still remember today.. "What on Earth are Arista records doing putting this track on the B side of the single? It is so classy, it could put a jazz-funk record at No.1for the first time ever! It should be the A side!"
One of the greatest guitar solos ever done by Geaorge Benson! Iremember hearing this inTrenton NJ when it came out. I think they played it on Trenton State radio. I was mesmerized by this ! That was back in '77 ! I'd love to see a video of GB's soloin
Love this track haven't listened to it for years, bought this album around 79 when i was just a kid, this was my favourite on the album ,still sounds just as fresh.
Bensons guitar just lifts this track to another level.
One of the first jazz albums I bought as a young lady back in the day...thank you for this memory.

How funny that there are no youtube vandals with their swearing etc next to the tracks like this. Divine job enjoys divine protection ;)

@ottolight
i would be more than happy to listen to this tune and stuff like that in an airport nowadays, it would lift me higher than the plane could.
this version is incredible and benson's solo super classe. there is not a single note to be critisized on. a piece like carved in stone

Such a beautiful version, and one of George Benson's finest solos.

+1. It's Harvey Mason's album; but GB simply owns this version.
