I both hate and love this song: it's their greatest song (lyrically, imo), but it continues to remind me what a conflicted, depressed person Cobain really was. His death forever remains the biggest tragedy in music history, and songs like this continue to remind me of that fact :(

This whole MTV Unplugged stuff was coming on the market after Kurts death. He probably never saw this like we see it now. But he knew that it was really good work what they have done. I'm not sure in with month this was released as a LP and when it came the first time on MTV,but I'm almost 100% sure it was after hes death. @llamasarus1 Yeah music goes where music goes: they made their mark on those two albums, and people can take from it what they will. Some people kept it superficial and stuck to the same sound (even though it was very much the sound of the early 90s, Nirvana probably would have gone in a completely different direction if they had made it to another album) but otherwise recognized the deeper impact of Nevermind and In Utero and went from there...those are the best musicians around us today

I'm not sure in with month this was released as a LP and when it came the first time on MTV,but I'm almost 100% sure it was after hes death. All the set, decorations, and all the details of this recording where Kurt vision, made from his sketches. The genal mood was in Kurt words "Like a funeral", so it's almost certain that he already knows what's going to happen. This was is ultimate goodbye, is own funeral. And he kniow about it

@llamasarus1 Yeah music goes where music goes: they made their mark on those two albums, and people can take from it what they will. Some people kept it superficial and stuck to the same sound (even though it was very much the sound of the early 90s, Nirvana probably would have gone in a completely different direction if they had made it to another album) but otherwise recognized the deeper impact of Nevermind and In Utero and went from there...those are the best musicians around us today
