Ok first off there's no such thing as an ion epiphany, its a smart parts epiphany. Ion is a totally different marker. And second, stay away from smart parts, there markers really aren't very good. Go with a Proto SLG or Etek Ego. Much more reliable guns.

Not to call you out but Ion and Epiphany share compatible parts. When they state it's an Ion/Eipiphany that means he has made the gun into a hybrid. I have done the same with my Ion and Mixed the parts around with some epiphany parts, some after market and some Ion pieces.

1 you can find this gun anywhere! go to action village buy the ion go to parts/upgrades and buy the epiphany guts package you get the board and internals for i think $150 and buy a cp reg for $60 there you got the gun but why use $220 upgrading the ion to epiphany when you can sell your ion stock for $100 and use the upgrading money to buy a epiphany :P

...something else, you say it is an ion with epiphany internals...take a stock ion apart and stock epiphany apart.... compare the internals and notice how a couple of parts in the epiphany say ion and they are basically the same internally.

The Epiphany has an upgraded bolt, more tough air tubes, and there's something else, but I forget. I do believe the banjo fittings are better quality. I have an Epiphany and when people ask me what it is, I just say an Ion with a boob job.

I really doubt that changes anything. I could touch the ball with an ounce of force and it would move. A bolt moving very fast isnt going to be affected very much by a ball. Not to mention the bumper oring on the bolt prevents the bolt from damaging itself.

Any kit. I use a redz peppersticks kit and a powerlyte scepter kit on my PMR. Kits are better as you can match the paintball size with the bore size increasing your air efficiency, and accuracy. Its a bit more expensive, but in the end it will save you money. Ive gotta say this, im sorry. Owning a tricked out ion is like a kid on the short bus, you may think your cool, but your still retarded.

Pros - Cheap, runs Co2 or HPA, Upgrades are many, and also somewhat cheap. Reliable.

Cons - A Pain in the ass to maintain(so im told), not a very fast gun stock.

I dont own one but two of my friends do, three upgrades I would suggest right off the start are a QEV an HPA tank 68/4500 or whatever, and a barrell kit, get those and your off to a great start, later you can upgrade your board, and your bolt, and youll be rockin. But imo just by a mini or a PMR,pricier, but after the addons cheaper.

They are a pain in the ass to maintain. You have to take the whole gun apart to reach the bolt. Not on the new XE's or whatever they're called but the old ones yes. Need would be trigger, feedneck and I would say later on board and maybe a barrel kit. The stock feedneck is TERRRIBLE so I would buy one with the gun. Terrible with three R's^^

to lyhheh and krazokevin: Smart parts still SELLS them, but I'm pretty sure they aren't in production. The epiphany was replaced with the EOS, a carbon copy of the epiphany, only with a BOB [bolt out back, so you can maintain the gun without stripping the whole thing], couple extra settings on the board, and a $400 pricetag. Smart parts is just slowly withdrawing the epiphany so it can be replaced with a $200+ gun. Within the next two or three years, epiphanies will be off the market completely.
