@th3game28 pick are more cleaner sounding than fingers, when you use your fingers the string tends to smack the fretboard alot more.. not saying it doesnt with a pick

@hardyfan702 umm no its not and its a lot more difficult tp use a pick then using fingers. fingers automatically mute strings when skipping to another where as with a pick you have to strum backwards to mute a previous string (mainly open note) I really dont understand why people have so much negativity towards bass players with picks. Everyone is entitled to play how they want and the sound they should achieve. Im also a finger bassist by the way, but everyones got their opinions.

Yes he incoporates funk technique into his playing, but that doesnt mean hes solely a funk bassist. @4stringFanatico okay never said or implied because he incorporates funk into his basslines that he was soley a funk bassist. My implication was listen to his previous work with other bands and you'll see why he does that. Cliff burton used some funk and slapping in some of his work, and doesn't mean he is either. And think about this most musicians that used some type of distortion effect (fuzz, overdrive, distortion etc) are usually in metal bands.

@stenback31289 i have heard his previous work, i own alot of it. hes an amzing slapper, Give Me Your MOney has two mindblowing bass solos that are insane, but the bass track for Nobody Hears is also insane. Not a hint of funk in that bassline, but still amazing, same wth Monopoly of Sorrow :\. i just hateit when ppl say trujillo isnt the right fit for Metallica, becuz he can slap -________-. biggest load of shit ever, trujilo great for them. Certaianly better thn anyone else who auditioned.
