Do you know the cheat that is in Galaga???? If you let the 2 blue bees on the right go and just let them fly around....they will eventually run out of bullets and for the rest of the game none of the invaders fires anything......

There is such thing as video editing software that allows you to speed up a video 30x times.

If I could be bothered I used that cheat and wait for the 2 aliens on the right hand side - 20 minutes later blast them and they'd have no bombs for the rest of the game. The bootleg Galag used to stop at 199,000 points if I recall. The Emulator game found free on the web is an accurate version of the original game (no idea how good the XBox 1 is).

um... I don't see any difference in it from the others and what rapid fire? I have it and i have to press A every time I want a bullet to leave my ship otherwise if I hold it the game just sits there and does nothing until i physically push the A button again. You could fire the same 2 shots that you can't fire anther till one of the original two left the screen. So it's exactly like the arcade cabinet game. So everything you're bitching about makes no sense.
yes you can press A for the normal fire but if u hold B (i think its B) it shoots the 2 bullets super fast that is what i mean by the rapid fire, thats not on the classic arcade machine
Did not know about that B button double shot thing, but you can shoot that fast with the arcade if you can press the button fast enough which if you're like me and love arcade shmups then achieving that for a long period of time isn't real hard; however you are right that the double shot is not part of the arcade game, but at least it does not allow you to shoot more than 2 shots on screen at once. I goofd around with it a bit on my 360 and I personally find it less accurate, but that's just me.
@FERRETMAN9 rapid fire is on the most recent versions of the upright and cocktail cabinets as well like 600k is nothing my high score is 1817492 but im not complaining

FYI, I"ve "flliped" this game 3 times in one sitting... there are 256 or (257) counting stage Zero when u flip the game... the stage's stars are still (meaning ur not flying) not moving. then stage 1 stars begin to move slowly... we used the secret to have enemies stop shooting.. lame maybe, but it is still hard because past 150, they are jamming down the stage!! rekonize bizzies!!!

Back in the '80's I held the high score at a arcade for several years, but never got to 300K. I have only been to 288K. If this is un-modified then you rule.

did this once using the cheat code for this game. it took me something like 5 hours to get right to the end where the game just resets very annoying for all that trigger action LOL
i had this on super game boy back in the mid 90s and made it to level 204 turbo fire really helps but of all the versions i've played the score never goes beyond 999999
Funny you should say that because I contacted someone last week about going after the world record and where I need to go to make it happen. This game is simple. If you have a verizon phone you can see I hold all three high scores including the 25 million I posted on the arcade mode. I even killed myself during that game because I go tired of playing and I needed to use my phone.

I ended my score at 25 million because I got tired of playing plus I didn't think anyone would even close to touching that score. I am the man!

Well I smoke this guy and it's a fact! If you know my ID and have a verizon telephone you can clearly see that I hold all three high scores. Easy, Imtermediate and Arcade version. I ended my score at 25 million because I got tired of playing plus I didn't think anyone would even close to touching that score. I am the man!
