Does anyone know where the "Monkey House" series can be found now? I never got to see it when it was forst broadcast, and I can't find it on video/DVD anywhere.
Actually, I think I saw the one episode with the life-size chess game and the Latin American dictator. But none of the others.
@orchidtender I would also like to see these shows. I just discover Vonnegut because the band Alexisonfire has a song called "Happiness By the Kilowatt," and it has very direct references to "The Euphio Question." Anyways. This Vonnegut sounds like an excellent write and I want to see more of his stuff.
@VillageRetard I would say that "Slaugherhouse Five" and "Mother Night" are the only screen adaptations worthy of his work. IMO "Breakfast of Champions" and the TV movie version of "Harrison Bergeron" are beyond terrible.
Read the books - even the best movie couldn't possibly do them justice.
I used to love this. I had the tapes of it back when I first discovered Vonnegut. My favourite episode was the one titled "Fortitude" is that one on here anywhere?
Thanks so much for this, Niswander. We are living in Indy for a few years. Most of the Vonneguts left long ago, but I met him at his own art show in town a couple of years ago; a lovely, modest man. I also had tickets to see him before the accident, but his son Mark spoke instead.
