Unbelievable! every song is amazing. what is especially cool is how different this album is from all of switchfoot's previous albums, and how each song on the album is so different from every other song on hello hurricane. its insane how diverse switchfoot is. each song has such a different sound, i'm actually surprised that i like every single song. but i really shouldnt be, i meant, it is switchfoot!

I still love Beautiful Letdown, Nothing Is Sound and the rest of their past albums.. I think they really sounded very unique those days.. But I wish them luck in their new album! :) Just hope they won't ever change.. May God be with them always..

I agree actually! I know a few people that are switchfoot fans and they didn't like NIS as much. One of them didn't even know it came out! They thought it was Beautiful Letdown and then Oh Gravity. But it's probably my favourite album. Listened to it a few days ago and it's full of brilliant songs.

Good doesn't quite seem the word... Jon's solo EPs are quite possibly some of the best acoustic tunes you'll ever hear. GENIUS songwriting. Check out his Limbs and Branches CD for a taste... he put the favorites from EPs into a CD format.

Fiction Family is amazing, but a different sound for Jon so it might take some getting used to!

Definitely. I was completely blown away by songs like Resurrect Me, The Cure for Pain, In Love, In My Arms and Broken From the Start... to name a few. I'm also amazed at how CLEARLY Jon captured the seasons.

Since hair is a bad word in the SF fandom (ever since that one message board posts of Jon's...), I'll refrain from commenting on that one. I will say that I really enjoyed some of the comments it sparked though. "Skinny mountain man" was one of my favorites :D
