  • @gohanluigi123

Nope, but when I get a chance, I'll tell you what I think.

  • @DragoDillPepper The Dragonbox is very easy to find. Ive seen them all over, but not at the stores you have gone too. I also thought when they first came out walmart or target would carry them, but the only places ive seen them at were Best Buy or F.Y.E. If you have one of those close to were you live u should check it out. Good luck

  • bruces music for dbz is the best, besides its way better than the japanese music by a longshot.

  • No dragon box's have been sold ever, at our walmart, or target, ever since Suncoast got canned its hard to find dragon ball items in general. Just a selective few Orange Brick sets, are out at walmart, and target, I already own. But, can anyone tell me why that stores aren't selling the dragon box's? Is it because they are rare?

  • lmao vegeta is screaming so much

  • Can you feel the dragon box's power IT"S OVER 9 THOUSAND!!!!!!!

  • 2. It's going to be aired on NickToons Network, so I don't think they'd have a Japanese opening theme that little kids wouldn't understand, plus cheesy background music.

    3. If it stays true to the Japanese version, the ratings will be incredibly low, 'cause like I said, DBZ was a hit after FUNimation took over, and I don't think they'd risk losing money, not to mention precious time and effort doing the series over again.

  • Oh, and, as for DBZ Kai, I highly doubt they'd take out Bruce Faulconer's music, seeing as:

    1. That was what got DBZ popular in the first place.

  • people dont wach dbz for the music only retards do and the jap soundtrack for kai is way beter then most of bruces work PS from your comment i asume you think that dbk is a cut and past job of dbz well its not colers script voices music have all been redone

  • @Ringworm1281

Well, seeing as the Japanese music is cheesy as Hell, it'd be hard for a lot of people to take the show seriously. Besides, that soundtrack was way outdated, thus why FUNi changed it, and moreover, it just doesn't fit, IMO.

  • @Ringworm1281 Dragonball z Is my most favorite show, I love bruce faulconers music. I mean the jap tracks are too idk how to describe it they just dont go with the show well. I cant get into the fighting with the jap music. I hope Kai has Faulconer tracks or a whole new sound track. As long as its not the original sound track from japan.

  • @Fishnutts8 Prepare to be disappointed. The dub of KAI will be using the Japanese musical score.

  • @jpdbzrulz4sure Aw thats really a shame, Its not all that bad tho im not really to excited about Kai anyways considering its only about 100 episodes and Gohan sounds like a whimp. Oh well I do hope that the voice actors show up at more conventions with this release of Dragonball z Kai There starting to get old and im not so sure there going to be doing to much of that stuff anymore.

  • This promo is hilarious. I lol'd when Vegeta said 'freaks', and this is probably Chris' best Over 9,000 to date.

  • over 9000! lmao

  • I thought you don't do 9000 any more Chris.

  • He needs to do oxyclean!

  • YES!!!

  • 0:29

  • lol over 9000

  • Just when i thought they finally got it rite they go and screw it up again. FFS Why cant they just do it once and do it rite, Now they have Properly Remastered it but leave out the Dub score? WHY!!!???

  • Actually, realisticly, that's an improvement because the dub score has no place on these sets as it solely focuses on the japanese fanbase, heck, even the dub with original score was an extra. It's good they didn't include it because the dub score is only one of the dark relics from when anime had to be watered down and altered to fit American standards, also one of Barry Watson's bad decisions. But now, they can finally release anime that respects the original material.

  • @DragoonClawNZ1 I couldn't have put it better myself.

  • @DojoMeaT

Because it focuses on the original Japanese film and score. Thus, the complete Japanese package. Hence, it would be contradictory.

  • whats the difference between the orange uncut box seasons and these dragon boxes? is there anything actually different audio or visual wise? or is it just the same as the orange boxes but in a collector box?

  • So Which One Do You Think I Should Buy That Has Faul Conors Music Best Graphics And Uncut?

  • Lmao that was just as hilarious as the original 9000

  • Not only is he the Prince of all Saiyans, but he is a pretty badass salesman.

  • @hybridRace92 hes beter then billy mays

  • OK Someone Please Answer me I Like The Bruce Faulconor Music Which One Should i get With The Best Graphics....Also Whats the Difference Dragonball Kai, The Normal DBZ DVDS The Dragon box And Dragonballz Digitally Remastered?

  • Dragonball Kai is a refreshed version without filler, redrawn scenes and new openings and endings and is released 16:9 on DVD and 4:3 on Blu-Ray (which may be different on FUNimations release). The normal DBZ volumes are from FUNimations old masters with a slight worse transfer to their recent work and are interlaced. The Season Sets/Digitally Remastered DBZ is from the old masters again but with a better transfer and progressive but with a bit too much DVNRing (improved in Season Six and up)

  • and was reframed (people say cropped but I say reframed because some was added to the sides) to 16:9 but no episodes previews are on it. The Dragon Box was restored frame by frame from the original masters with frame alignment (jittering), in 4:3 ratio and have all the episode previews.

IMO The jump to the Dragon Boxes is well worth sacrificing the dub score but if you're not so dependent on the japanese score and want the episodes cheap, you're better off getting the Season Sets.

  • haha, its like watching dragonball z abridged

  • so if this is the uncut remastered footage wut the hell was the remastered seasons that came in the orange box. wuts the difference?

  • Basically this is for the fans of the Japanese version, and people who didn't want the video cropped. The remastered sets have cropped video, which can take away the experience for some. (I believe its widescreen)

I personally like the Dragon Box set better, but these are still decent in my opinion.

Dragon Box - Japanese fans/hard-core fans

Orange Brick Set - Casual Watchers

  • One of their greater trailers.

  • The Dragon Box will be MINE!!

    ...and yours, Earthling.

And they just HAD to include that 'Over 9000' bit, didn't they? Pure awesome.

    Haha, I love Vegeta. xD

  • can you feel the dragonboxs power ITS OVER 9000!

  • ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!

  • can anyone please tell me if the dragonbox sets are going to replace the Dragon Ball Z remastered box sets in the near future because i hope it doesn't

  • They had to say "it's over 9000" didn't they?

    lol

  • i keep thinking that vegetas voice is the one form DBZ abridged.

  • Sabat's new Over 9000 totally owns

  • Id get the dragonbox but it doesnt have the english audio so fuck that

and besides i have all the seasons

  • @coldinfusion It DOES have the English audio. You can select it, I've watched several episodes from the Dragon Box in English.

  • Yes it does, it has the dub.

    Screw the english music.

  • i know it has the dub

im saying it doesnt have bruces faulconers music which totally owns

  • Eh, it's good but doesn't seem like it's true to Dragon Ball at all. The DBoxes aren't really meant for dub fans so I can see why you won't buy them. But just a reminder when the Kai dub comes out FUNi won't be giving it a new soundtrack like they did with Z, it'll be faithful to the japanese version.

  • im not saying i hate the japanese version i love it

im just saying i already all 9 seasons so im not gonna buy them again

  • That's also understandable.

  • kinda pissed at funimation for doing this though cuz i would really love to have the dragon box

  • Dragon Ball Kai had better have the Bruce Falconer soundtrack unless Funimation doesn't like making money.

The "dub fans" as you call them greatly outnumber the hardcore-anime fans in the United States. And statistically, those hardcore-anime fans are such a small group of people, I'm betting 95% of the sales of this Dragon Box is from people expecting the DBZ they know and love.

Dragon Ball Kai: if Funimation actually wants to make money, they'll add the bruce falconer track.

  • You actually expect them to use Bruce Faulconer's music?

FUNimation doesn't give two shits if dub fans get pissed.

They're just doing what they've been doing for YEARS. Look at all their current dubs, they're all true to the original versions.

FUNi used Bruce Faulconer's score when they were inexperienced, and now they've learned.

Kai's original soundtrack is awesome dude, what do you have against it? See reason, FUNi is not going to use Faulconer's score with Kai.

  • @OmegaCalibur

You are stupid mother fucker. A dumb pussy.

Funimation doesn't give "2 shits if fans get pissed?" That means that their profits will decrease significantly.

A TV broadcast of DBZ simply won't have the millions of hits it did.

    Oh yeah, go fuck yourself.

  • I'm a dumb pussy? I actually have true arguments to back my opinions up.. You're not even acknowledging my arguments, like for example.. the fact FUNi has been faithful in all their dubs for so many years.

Ever bother listening to the Kai music? It's perfect and fitting, even more so than the japanese dbz music.

  • @OmegaCalibur

Full Metal Alchemist doesn't even sound remotely like a 1960s kungfu movie. As if modern music would even affect it that much.

  • @Scuzzlebutt98

    Screw YOU

  • Kai won't have new music, so don't complain about FUNi being true to the japanese version with their new Kai dub.

Also, Faulconer's music doesn't belong with DBZ.. if that's what you're replying to.

  • @OmegaCalibur

How the hell does Bruce Faluconer's music not belong in DBZ? The music is beautiful, and has a ridiculously huge fanbase.

The Bruce Faulconer music alone has more fans in the United States than hardcore anime otakus as a whole.

  • Kai's OST is perfect, why change it? FUNi never adds original OST to any of their animes, and haven't for YEARS.

You have your DBZ dub with Bruce Faulconer.. Now us japanese fans are getting a faithful and true dub.

  • @OmegaCalibur

    "Us Japanese fans."

Yeah, all 10 of you. Go fuck yourself you worthless piece of shit.

  • Wow you're one of the biggest idiots I've ever seen.

Us japanese fans have existed much longer than you faggy dub fans.. Expecting FUNi to add new music to an anime who's soundtrack is perfect, is beyond retarded.

  • @OmegaCalibur

Sales, and merchandise proves that the existence of you worthless Otakus is MEANINGLESS.

The only time DBZ actually got a big movement in the USA was in 1999 as the D.u.b became popular in the USA.

Other than that, you were just another faggot worshipping whatever bullshit the Japanese spit out.

Your existence alone is meaningless. DBZ Budokai games wouldn't of even SOLD that much if it wasn't for the U.S dub.

Compare that sales to pre-dub DBZ days

    Go fuck yourself, you fag

  • Really? Because DBZ is doing fine in japan and every other country it's dubbed faithfully in.

FUNimation has been doing nothing but catering to us "Otaku" fans for years.. They don't give a shit about people like you.

Also, if it wasn't for japan and Akira Toriyama, you wouldn't even have DBZ you loser.

  • @OmegaCalibur

DBZ is doing fan in Japan?

Guess what you WORTHLESS FUCKING JAPANOPHILE. This ISN'T Japan. it's the United States.

If you responded to a "over 9000" video stating "it's really over 8000" you'd get the same response. Nobody gives a shit.

  • You're not even a true anime fan, FUNi isn't catering to you at all.. So your bitching about them being faithful isn't going to do shit, and you'll know that much when the Kai dub airs and you won't have any shitty rock music in place of the fantastic original score.

Again, have you or have you not.. even fucking listened to the Kai music?

  • @OmegaCalibur

    Listen here you little bitch.

The only place worthless mother fuckers like yourself would even be noticed is through internet postings. And even then, pieces of shit like you are still the MINORITY.

A business targetted towards a small precentage of dumbasses like yourself would only LOSE money.

  • You're like the only one who expects FUNi to add Faulconer's score to Kai.. they won't lose shit.

Now just tell me this. After so many years of dubbing anime faithfully, One-Piece, FMA, etc..

Why the shit would they change back to the way they were when they were inexperienced? You're expecting too much of FUNi, and are in fact a fucking idiot.

  • @OmegaCalibur

    I'm like the "ONLY ONE?"

You are a stupid mother fucker. Hell the COMMENTS on youtube show it all.

90% of the people buying the DVDs are wanting to know why the FUCK the music is sounding so weird.

Fans of the OCEAN dub wanted to know what the fuck funimation did with the music.

Nobody gives FUCK about you Omega. You are a stupid little pussy. People probably beat the SHIT out of you on a daily basis

  • Have you even bothered listening to the Kai music? Answer that much.

  • @OmegaCalibur

You are a stupid mother fucker. Not only are you a worthless faggot, you are also a dumbass.

I pointed out that dramatic change in sales regarding DBZ related merchandise as of 1999 compared to pre-dub days.

it's OBVIOUS that it's the United States D.U.b that is the base of DBZ's popularity.

Don't tell me about JAPAN, or some other country. I don't LIVE there, and I don't give a fuck what they do.

  • I don't give a fuck what americunts like you think. You aren't a true DB fan or anime fan and FUNimation isn't going to change the music, so get over it and watch your DBZ dub with us music.

Also why do you care that FUNi is dubbing kai faithfully? Does everything DBZ in the US have to cater to you? This dub is going to be faithful, it's going to have the same music, and you can go fuck yourself.

Answer me, have you heard Kai's music? Because obviously you haven't.

  • @OmegaCalibur

I've seen Dragonball Kai on youtube, but I'm not a fan of hearing a bunch of Saiyans that sound like squealing females.

Obviously a fag like you would be into that kind of stuff.

  • @OmegaCalibur

Toy producers and videogame companies actually see more profit in a poorly done 4KIDS anime, than a Japanese original.

That already shows how incredibly low your population here is in the U.S.A. Even 4KIDS beats your sorry Japanophile asses

  • I'm done. Come back when you actually grow a brain and learn to debate, because quite frankly you suck at it. You have no real points, you make up lies to support your argument, and all out you're a retard. And the sad thing is, you know I'm owning you.. That's why you get all pissed off and throw shitty insults in a desperate attempt to beat me, even though you know that's impossible.. I'm much smarter than you, and that's the truth.

  • @OmegaCalibur

I'm making up lies? You have the power of GOOGLE. Anime forums discuss this kind of thing all the time.

If you are saying I'm lying, you are contradicting your own Japanophile friends. Normally they'd throw in critcism as why their shows are poorly rated.

You are downright claiming its not true. And yes, anime DVD sales are significantly lower now anyway.

  • And despite people like you being a minority, you demand FUNi changes the DBKai music?

You're not a true DBZ fan or anime fan so why the fuck do you care? You're a minority and FUNi isn't going to change shit in the Kai dub, so deal with it.

  • And with that, I'm done.. You're a fucktard, and your stupidity is beginning to piss me off.

  • @OmegaCalibur

Do you even HAVE American cable TELEVISION? They actually report things like ratings, so there is no need for me to make things up.

  • And finally to answer your question, I'm not American.. I have some american channels, but mostly canadian ones.

Anime doesn't actually view her as often as it used to, just Naruto and Bleach.. That said, it's actually all they air here, so there may be some truth to what you said.

Regardless, anime dubs and dvds will keep getting made and sold, that's something that simply cannot stop.

  • @OmegaCalibur

What Funimation did for DBZ was just beautiful.

American Cable broadcasts can confirm almost anything I said to you. I have no reason to "make things up" when I can turn on cable and confirm the things I already said.

You are already here on the internet. You can easily "google search" anything I've said to you if you believe the things I am saying is actually false.

  • @OmegaCalibur

You are too stupid to even use the power of "google." Are you American? If not, I am sure you are aware of the Google search engine, right?

Do you actually watch Cable television, or are you only a loser who torrent's his anime in Japanese, so you could bitch about the "American version."

Either way, you are an idiot.

  • @OmegaCalibur

You are "smarter" than me, while you don't even know the state of anime in the United States.

Hannah Montana is more likely to beat out the average anime in the U.S. Spongebob even.

With Toonami gone, adult swim is really the final well-known anime block in US cable networks, and NEW episodes of those shows have poorer ratings than re-runs of Robot Chicken(or when Futurama showed there.)

  • If that's true it has nothing to do with the fact FUNimation is staying true to the original versions of the shows they dub.

Either way FUNi isn't about to change the music and tone of a series that's already perfect. 100% certain that FUNi will not change the soundtrack, since it's actually a beautiful and perfect musical score. I'm sure if you heard the Kai soundtrack you'd like it, and if you don't.. well you always have the DBZ US dub with Faulconer's score.

  • And if you're a little displeased with the Dragon Box, know this. FUNimation would've put both tracks in if they could, but that would degrade the bit rate and make the quality downgrade in the process, they wanted to keep the beauty of the Dragon Box picture intact.

Sure they could've put the dub track with only Faulconer's musical score, but that just proves that they're trying to get an accurate dub out there.. and why the Kai dub will be faithful.

  • Anyways the argument earlier was pointless, we both have our opinions. I was really just trying to make it clear that FUNimation isn't going to put Faulconer's score on Kai, and got frustrated by you not listening or acknowledging that fact.

  • @OmegaCalibur

I have a HARD time finding a dragon box video in which people aren't asking "what the fuck happened to the music."

Faggots like you are the minority in the United States It's too bad you can't get married you piece of shit.

  • Actually we're the majority now, anime wise.

The Dragon Box is for fans of the japanese version, not dub fans.. I don't give two shits if people complain.

  • @OmegaCalibur

Majority? Anime wise? YEAH FUCKING RIGHT.

hell, in America most anime is actually DYING OUT.

It is a fact: a proven FACT. In the U.S.A, more people are likely to purchase anime merchandise after a 4KIDS dub than a Japanese original. It shows how much you Japanophile faggots matter.

case in point: One Piece merchandise almost dropped completely after the show was taken off the U.S TV networks.

  • Really? Because FUNi isn't losing profits at all, neither is Viz media.

You just make up stupid lies that you pretend are real. Anime dying out in the US? That's a laugh, it's one of the most profitable concepts in the world, and FUNi is filthy rich for it.

  • @OmegaCalibur

Then you obviously haven't visited much anime news sites. There's ALWAYS talk on anime dying out and losing popularity on the United States.

On television, the only real remainder of anime showing was "Adult Swim."

The anime block has ALWAYS been the lowest rated block. With few exceptions, and most of the anime shows end up being cancelled.

  • You should probably kill yourself, saves the world one less redneck americunt patriotic ignorant fucktard, making the world a bit less stupid.

Name what anime shows got canceled, give me the site that says that anime is dying down, and prove your "facts" aren't bullshit before spewing your mouth off like a fucktard.

  • @OmegaCalibur

OmegaCalibur: simply google "adult swim" and anime. you can find a truckload of bitching and angry posters.

Adult swim actually AIRS the numbers of their ratings late nights, so we can see how poorly their shows are rated.

Hell, they even JOKE about the poor ratings of their anime series.

  • There's something you haven't realized yet.

The US isn't the only fucking country in the world with anime fans. Canada, Europe, Australia, etc.

That said, there's thousands of thousands of anime fans living in many different countries. Then there are anime fans in the US, most of them enjoy seeing faithful dubs of their favorite shows.

Then there's a minority, which are ignorant fucks like you who only watch the US dub of DBZ because it spams rock music in your ears.

  • Comment removed

  • @OmegaCalibur

With few exceptions, anime tends to be one of the most poorly rated. There are the Dragon BallZ and Narutos which make huge exceptions.

Other than that, anime tends to be on the quick cancelling blocks, in which anime fags on the internet whine about their shows being replaced.

Tell me, do you think it's a big coincidence when One Piece games and merchandise stopped coming out here in the U.S.A?

  • @OmegaCalibur Funi had the original One Piece OST , D Gray Man OST and Soul Eater OST. so yeah they dont always switch the original soundtracks

  • the way they make people but these dvds, they always say EXPLOSIVE episodes. Thats the trick X)

  • haha, fanservice for over 9000 fans =)

aka. funimation knows fans like over 9000 ;)

  • Oh, the bitter irony. Giving american fan service to a product that is dedicated to hardcore japanese version fans and ditching a music track that american fans (excluding me) want. It's amazing that each time they release Dragon Ball Z, there is always a hiccup in each DVD version (literally) (NO OFFENSE, FUNIMATION). But hey, it's Dragon Box, and, technically, Vegeta still says 9000 in the actual episode.

  • This fanservice is going to kill the meme for good if it keeps getting overused so much.

  • Awesome DBZ!

  • man i got the entire dbz series in 9 cases with 54 disc with all 291 episodes and now their is a dragonbox

  • You know whats annoying there being a dragonbox...when I did the same exact thing you did. D: then i had some of teh seaon's not in the cases but box setts...-___O makes me not happy

  • Hate to rub it in, but I originally bought only 3 seasons of the "Remastered" Sets, because, for an unknown reason, I had a gut feeling that Dragon Ball Z DVD's will be fixed. My wish has been granted. Now I have to start over again! Oy! (This was way before I knew about the Actual Dragon Boxes, which I realized on 9/30/2009)

  • yea what the hell

  • me to

  • im gonna stay with what i got i spent a lil over $300.00 on them

  • i have all 9 orange bricks

sure they are cropped but the have bruce faulconer's music which is awesome

  • LOL OVER 9000

  • I will still buy a dragon box z even if its OVER 9000 DOLLARS! ...it be worth it...

  • THERE ARE OVER 9000 COMMENTS!!!

  • correction: over 900 comments. It ain't 9,000 yet,,,

  • y didnt they just re-draw the anime & make it movie like, like they did the dbz movies

  • will dragonball and GT get a Dbox release?

  • No because they are just releasing those. Plus those are already 4:3 anyway so there is no need to. They only screwed up DBZ so they are redoing it here.

  • @ijasop Depends if Dragon Ball Z makes money.

  • So... what's in that? The complete series or...?

  • it is the same dubing as the remastered sets but with original picture and music. it also come with the japanese voice overs with reworked script (more direct translation)

    and dude....

the ocean dubbing sucked hard balls. i hated when they got changed from the funimation dubs. us canadians or peolpe in the uk got screwed over.

  • Nice, this trailer references the "over 9000" thing and the second one mentions "the balls are inert".

  • @Starwind18020 " The balls are inert" ? whats that about, they came up with something new? lol

  • Is this the same dub as the english remastered boxset

  • Yes, it is, but with Japanese music only, and the opening theme is now replaced with the original Dragon Ball Z opening "Cha La Head Cha La".

  • vegetai s so funny lolz.

  • 9000!!!

  • LOL

  • how many episodes are in this? and what seasons, and is it the same as the cartoon network dbz because that was my favorite version

  • the first 42 episodes are on this box; this is the true japanese version of dragon ball z, the way it was supposed to be watched. no bruce faulconer music included.

  • ok nice but its in english right?

  • yes, the english dub is available, but no us dub music

  • I like the Dragon Box, it's a better set than the other season sets. But I just wish they would put Bruce's score in there cause it is far more superior than the Japanese score. So this set is still not perfect. If I got that, then it'd be the perfect DBZ set.

  • they should make a collection like this with the movies in their time zones of the series. Cuz it'd be cool and less confusing because the movies are wierd with thier times in the series.

  • The dragon box is the ultimate prize for any dragon ball z fan. Trust me once you see the colors on your tv and see the picture in motion you'll appreciate the dragon box. All youtube videos of the dragon box wont give it true justice, but despite this I've uploaded one full episode from my dragon box on to my youtube channel. For those who want to see the dragon box's quality come to my channel and check it out.

  • It's not up on YouTube yet, but Amazon has the trailer for Dragon Box 2 up. It's piccolo talking this time. He says "The Dragon Box is far from inert."

    Lol, that made me laugh.

  • For God's sakes, just buy the season orange brick box sets that includes the American soundtrack already! Besides, it's the end of 2009 and the decade of 2000, so live a little once in a while! But I don't blame all of you people-- I love the American soundtrack as much as you do since Bruce Faulconer was the best composer around when he made music for Dragon Ball Z in hardcore music with different styles of genres like rock, heavy metal, jazz, techno, and many more! I admire him too!

  • true..falconer's music is way better than the japanese music

  • well maybe to most fans because the japanese music was a bit out dated

  • WTF? Who would want to b stuck with the crappy Japanese music? It's horrible. I'd rather castrate myself that listen to it. Y the hell can't they put faulkners music on it. He is amazing.

  • this is great and all but will they dub dragonball kai?

And why is is episodes 1-42? The Japanese version had over half of the original show! And also will they have the dragonball and dragonball gt boxes?

  • Did the actually just highlight "ITS OVER 9000!!!"?? Gee, Funi sure rsearches its fanbase..

  • If only they Had the Funimation Music too!

  • So what audio tracks does this have beside the original japanese? Just the english dub with japanese music? No Bruce Faulconer's music?

  • Nope. This set is for the Hardcore Japanese fans. Anyway, this is how Dragon Ball Z was meant to presented: with original music. Give it a shot. (Test it on the Season Sets)

  • Oh I have every intention on buying this with or without the english with american music, it's just I love the Funi dub with Faulconer's music just as much as the Japanese version.

If only they had both, it would have been the perfect box set for me, I wonder why they didn't put that audio track in... Lack of dvd space? Anyway thanks for your reply.

  • @leonnasagawa because it would interfear wit the picture clarity

  • Are you serious? I didn't know it would do that......

  • because whiny weeabos want DBZ to be "pure"

  • @leonnasagawa

they wanted to recreate the Dragon box exactly like the one in Japan but just smaller and divided into seven different parts.

  • @tomrule123 The Remastered sets had both original japanese and american music. Why did they bother making this. It doesn't seem any different from the remastered sets.

  • @ClaytonTSheets To correct what they should've released in the first place. Anyway, turns out that they do have space in each disc of the dragon box to include the American Music. Why they really ditched it, I will never know. I don't listen to the American music, so it doesn't really matter to me.

  • i recognize your name from fanatics network years ago

what did they do wrong in the remastered release that needed to be corrected

  • What fanatics network? I created my account this year. You're thinking of someone else.

  • They remastered it badly through a filter and cut the top and bottom footage to make it widescreen.

  • One of the comments I got said that adding the american music for dragon box would mess with the picture clarity or something but I don't really understand that.

  • Hey. I grew up watching this on Toonami, but I'm fine with the music being different. I've got a question for people who own the dragon box: I've read that the english dub is out of sync. Is it any more out of sync than the broadcast versions or is it something that would actually piss me off? (Unless the synchronization is absolutely horrendous, like somebody keeps their mouth moving for 4 seconds after the audio stops it's not a huge deal to me.)

  • :27 - :30

    I LOL'D!!!

These advertisers really did their homework.

  • I hope they release DBZ seasons in 720p and 1080p. That's pretty much the only thing that can be improved now. :D

  • What about Dragon Ball Kai? That was the purpose of making Dragon Ball Z in HD.

  • I meant American versions. I mean they did Remastered, but it's not really HD. 720x400 or something. We need some 1280x720! :D

  • well now the uncut box sets seems like kinda a waste now lmao well unless ur a collecter ud need it. well i am a collecter i guess

  • i know, which is why it scares me that there is that there is an entire channel dedicated just to the ocean dub

  • yea i know he or she or it got mad at me just for stating my opinion that ocean dub sounds souless and well suck

  • Yeah... Some ocean dub fans can get a little weird, like when I said that: "Tien's voice actor was very expressionless when he tried to warn android 17 about Cell".

He/she replied: "Tien almost got killed by Cell and doesn't care that much about 17"

    That's why Tien was expressionless...

  • yea well this one guy was talkin shit an was dissin funimation and shit and all i did was state my opinion that alot of the characters were kinda souless

  • Yeah, I know what you mean, I've seen quite a few arguments like that when it is about the ocean dub but then again fans of the funimation dub and the japanese version can be a little weird too.

  • yea im not like that i'll whatch eithe jap or funi...but idk about ocean dub it almost kinda sounds ameturish and maybe even fan made.

  • It's fucking Dragonball Z, if you wanna get technical like it's Dragonball Evolution then go ahead, I'll be over here watching DBZ and enjoying myself and not giving a fuck about some stupid idiot who wants to argue with me about bullshitty things.

  • Well said.

  • Because it has a large fan base.

  • thats even scarier, it has fans

  • But it shouldn't be part of you collection because of the FAKE Restoration and CROPPED widescreen.
