Identical twins in the line up. I saw them in 71 at the Corn Exchange in Kings Lynn. At the time they were as big as Free, Sabbath, as well as the Pop bands such Sweet, Mungo, Bays, Nazareth, Glitter etc. etc Really dissapointed that they only really managed 2 hits. They were much better than that. This rates in my all time top 10. Where are they now?

@123jsbach This is it! Absolute enjoyment! Just a shame that it is so obviously clear that guys in this video do not know the lyrics to this song! Hey shit happens
I remember this song. My brother had a LP with various artits and this song was on it and the one I played the most together with Frijed Pink's version of House of the rising sun.
I always thought the singer sounded like Noddy Holder from Slade.
BERLIN (Reuters) – A German court has ordered former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore to pay damages after ruling the guitar solo in his 1990 hit "Still Got the Blues" had been plagiarized from a German song written in 1974.
A court in the southern city of Munich said on Wednesday the solo in Moore's song was too similar to the one in "Nordrach" by the band Jud's Gallery not to have been copied
I met Blackfoot Sue when they picked me up hitchhiking in Evesham, and went to the gig with them, they were then called the Gift . Were good friends went to several gigs, had a great time especially with Eddie Golga, 1968 a great year. Big kiss Eddie if you ever see this.
Yeah I must agree with the comments below it does sound like Slade but not as good. I did check out Cry Wolf but didn't think much of the lead guitarist.
I love this! What a fantastic clip. This song never seems to get played on the radio, which is a shame coz it's brilliant. It was a big hit too, no.4 in 1972. It brings back a lot of memories, great days.
Great old song...what a stomper! What happened to the boot on the end of a staff of wood that one of the group stamped in time to the music on Top of the Pops?
I saw Blackfoot Sue at the Melody Rooms in Norwich in 1972, it was just before Christmas and I met up with my old school friends there every Saturday (they were working and I was in my first term in College). We were all Slade Fans and this group (as you can hear) had a very similar sound. From what I can remember they were great. The song is brilliant.
@Zapata935 Could be....! I saw a band called 'Blackfoot' play at our (tiny) college union (I read that they didn't do anything live under that name?) playing in about '80 or '81 and they played Standing in the road. It must have been Eddie with his goldtop - it was just pure class. He must have been f###ing excellent for me to still remember so clearly after 30 years!
Let me quess, these individuals were Danish truck drivers, accosted by your production staff, thrust into costume and ordered to appear as rock stars! That's about how it appears to a normal person? All they had to do was mime along to the music track! Claptrap!

So much to love about this video clip, and this song. Another one that evokes obsessively listening to wunnerful Radio One as a ten year old. Fantastic bit towards the end when the camera meanders though the stomping legs of the flare clad dancers..

In answer to 1960unclemort Blackfoot Sue came from my home city Birmingham England and consisted of brothers Tom and Dave Farmer, Eddie Golga and Alan Jones. They stopped touring as Blackfoot Sue in 1977 but recorded an album in 1979 under the band name Liner. Alan Jones emigrated to Australia and the remaining three members formed Outside Edge in 1984. In 1993 they reformed as Blackfoot Sue and split up in 1999 after a farewell concert at the London Astoria.
Look at the turn-ups on those dungarees - poor guy, he couldn't afford to get the hems taken-up. BTW, I'll take those 2 x 'Telecaster' guitars they're playing in this vid - they'll be worth a few thoosand apiece..
Always wondered where 'Robbie' got the inspiration for 'Rock DJ' - now I know. The old songs are the best. True.
