Well, regardless of why or how these people were protesting/rallying, it was probably illegal. Freedom has always been a two-way street and you need a permit to stage protests like this and you must avoid impeding the lives of others with your protest. Well, regardless of why or how these people were protesting/rallying, it was probably illegal. Freedom has always been a two-way street and you need a permit to stage protests like this and you must avoid impeding the lives of others with your protest. A protest is not a reason to have excessive noise, block streets, or harass others, no matter how noble your cause may be.
As far as immigration, it's sad how it is handled, but laws are laws. We must first change unjust laws else we get nowhere.

It could have benefited from wider coverage but I missed a couple of dramatic moments, my battery ran out, etc., and also trying to condense it. What you see is what happened. A small crowd of people demonstrating in the street(the last people to go home, small enough to disperse on its own given time, but provoked in to confrontation by the LAPD.

I would say things are going better in Europe than the U.S. and South America is transforming and moving towards integration as well. Integration of some kind is necessary but it would appear problematic for anglo-saxon hegemonists. I see signs of the opposite such as the construction of the Border Wall.

I think they were very normal. Young people in most democracies in the world who would be demonstrating or occupying a public space would react in similar manner. In some parts the young people may go even wilder. I view it as an organic reaction. That neighborhood is 95% latino and a lot of illegal immigrants live there. Most of the young people look like they've been born and raised in L.A. The totality of the sado-masochistic anglo-saxon hegemonistic socio-economic structure confronts us.
