  • I have worked on everything but pierret. Their are few Leblanc horns which are Beaugnier made that are good horns. The plant was across the street from the Selmer factory and many Selmer techs worked for both companies. This last series of sax was only made for a short while as Yanagisawa was bought by Leblanc. Their are so few of these stores don't push them

  • Nice video jazzmanted what do you think about pierret horns?

    thanks

  • Hello Jazzmanted, you probably know the answer to this question : the F.E. Olds Parisian Ambassador, was that made by Beaugnier or by Pierret? I have recently purchased a tenor model. The Octave cluster looks different than the Beaunier .

Thanks for your answer in advance. Rick in Toronto

  • @kanadietis

    pierret

  • hi jazzmanted, do you know the value of a vito special alto sax made in france? considering very good physical and playing condition. thank you.

  • great video. i my self just bought a model 100 and looking forward to getting it REAL soon! : )

btw ive always heard beaugnier pronounced bow-gen-ir. you might be right though it was just different lol

  • His pronounciation of Beaugnier is right (that of Mantes, the town where they were produced, isn't, but who cares?).

Thanks JazzM for a great demo of altissimo notes on a Beaugnier made tenor!

  • Thanks so much for doing these. I just bought a Beaugnier tenor and am looking forward to playing it. Great information here.

  • Good video with lots of information! The horn sounds good too!
