they fought for freedom without violence, better than americans have done. estonia should be an example to people who think that people singing for freedom is stupid. im not saying that we shouldn't fight, but to defy a system of powerful influences that had invaded their country, by preserving their culture through singing is amazing. everyone should learn from it and remember it. the propaganda that has told in europe from the soviets was what kept these people from being free.

if you knew anything about estonians as soldiers in history you would be quiet as a mouse - a dead mouse, already buried.... deep.

not to mention the vabadusvõitlus times when we resisted teuton knights (not surrendered like the rest). after that we were in the middle of germans, poles, swedes, russians AND WE SURVIVED !

the best naval officers in czar russia were estonians.

we did beat red russia and german landeswehr during wwI days(even invaded russia) and gained independence.
