This was a sad story of ignorance and prejudice. My old roommate has a pure pit, he is the most gentle dog I have ever met, he is a rescued fighting dog. I have other friends who have pits that they raised from puppies and are the goofiest sweetest dogs I've ever met. Yet I know of chihuahuas that are aggressive ankle biters and other small breeds that can be quite aggressive. If the police were really doing his job he would have gotten the facts before judging Parrot and brutally murdering him
the only part that doesn't make sense to me is, if the dog was really being aggressive towards the officer, throwing it down 12 steps of stairs then shooting it doesn't seem necessary
