Dolly uses an open tuning on her guitar that doesn't require a lot of fingering technique, which allows her to play with the long ol' nails. What a natural she is! Born entertainer. Every movement, every inflection just comes out so smoothly. I know it's hours and hours of practice, but still, few people can knock out a song like she can.

Dolly is my hero and all time favorite singer ever! my mom says i was born in the wrong year, bc she calls me the country girl of the city, bc this is what i have listened to since i was little and i am not a big fan of the rap and all that crap. They are like built in picks arent they? LOL She actually just open chords everything...but I have seen her in other videos do some actual real chording with her left hand..but her nails were shorter..she actually can play pretty dang good!
