I did this design... turned out AWESOME!!! I did letters on my thumb, middle, and pinkie fingers. And I used white crackle nail polish for the other two fingers. :) I love it!

newspaper color is not as vibrant, but it is thinner and more fiber-ish instead of placticky smooth like magazine paper, so it will work better

Of course this would NOT ruin your nails. You are gluing on paper nothing more. Any magazine ill work but make sure the pages are thin. You absolutely need to seal this with a top coat! HTH

As long as you apply a top coat you shouldn't have any problem with it lasting!

Hey :) Nice idea :D doesn't the top coat smudge the words? you know, like if I use a light color and then apply the piece of paper then won't it fade or something? :) Great job! :)

I didn't have a problem with fading or smudging but that may differ depending on the type of paper you cut. I think this may an issue with newspaper.

like the idea...would it be possible to soak the heavier paper in water and then apply to the nail? that should really help with the lay and application (in theory, i guess).

I was thinking water may not dry properly when layered but if you could soak it in a bit of top coat (like decopage) it would probably work!

Does seche clear or the nail magic peel? All the base coats I've use and some hardeners peel.

I haven't had any issues with them peeling but everyone's nails are different. If your base coat peels then it's not doing a very good job of helping to keep your polish on longer...I'd recommend trying something new until you find something that works well for your nails!

Yes it comes off easily with nails poish remover. Keep in mind that I use felt to remove my polish so I can't say how easy it will come off with a cotton ball or other products...hth
