Its impossible to bore out a b18c1 or any b-series block to a 3.0 litre. And by that time the components in that block would be too heavy and not rev happy. Making power through revs is NA's best friend. Cam gears are the same size regardless of the setup, its the cam profile that is different, such as high lift/duration camshafts which open the valves deeper into the cylinder and hold them there for longer so that more air enters the engine.
