  • Please explain the reason for doing this? does it improve the sound that noticably?

  • I have a Cambridge Audio azur 540A and Cambridge Audio S70 speakers. Will there be any significant improvement in sound quality by bi-wiring?

  • My new AVR (Onkyo 609) supports bi-amping, as do my speakers (Tringle comete).

I'd need to buy & run in some more wires, so can anyone tell me if bi-amping is really worth it? What improvement do you get?

  • Can you biam to a single set of speaker terminals? Just so u get more power to the speaker? What if my speaker towers have a single set of terminals, but they are rated for 350W, so they can really use two channels of power to a single speaker..

  • @ravaneli55 nope..... except ur amp r bridgeable.....

  • Thank you for this video, it didn't help me with what you were talking about, but it did make me suddenly understand why my receiver says it can Bi-amplify and when I changed it to the setting to try to figure out what it did, all it did was bottom out my satellite speakers... Now I understand the bi-amplifier was sending the front channel sound to the tiny rear channel speakers.

  • Bi -wire doesnt make any diferent because is the same power fron the receiver or amp ,,bi-amplify is better cause have separate apm ,,but everything sound better,,with nice cables and nice speakers ,,,

  • can somone explain to me the difference between bi-wire or bi-amplify in better english cause i dont understand this video

  • Thank you, smart folks cut to the point. Well done.

  • Hi i from puerto rico i have a pair of kef iq3 booksheft and Denon 3310 what you think bi-wire or bi- amp.thanks

  • Bi-amplifiying of course is necessary when you use an active crossover. Bi-wiring is just silly.

  • @JiveDadson bi wiring improves power to the speaker and produces cleaner sound.

  • I disagree, with quality and large gauge wire there is no difference if its split at one binding post or another. Bi amping is the only way you can hear a difference as there is more power available to the speaker.

  • @calvinchoe100 Only if you are using really crappy wire...

  • @JiveDadson - the vid was using duplicated signals for bi-amping, waste of time imho. I'm with you on the active crossover though :), mine works very well.

  • i did find it usefull thanks

  • Real crystal at what he said ! CHeers!

Now which is better bi amping or bi wiring?

  • For true bi-amping you need an external crossover placed before amplification. Further, the passive internal speaker crossover should be removed from the signal path. Not a convenient task.

  • so you can only bi-amping if you got A / B or can i juse the outpute of the from the back speakers ???

  • what plugs are u using ? I am trying to bi-wire but I plug a banana plug onto another for biwiring

  • simple yet helpful. very nice +1
