I was pulling for the Sox in that '86 series, but that was still a great series. Game 6 may be the greatest game ever played. The Mets were clearly the better team. Even though I hated them at the time, they deserved the championship.
I dont know what it is about Straw. I mean, I'm a Red Sox fan and he played for those Mets then went over to the Yankees, but I always liked him. IDK, maybe I almost feel sorry for him or something. Either way, regardless of all the crazy stuff he's been through, he's always seemed like an open and honest dude. Somehow always seemed like he is actually an alright guy.
I wouldn't be surprised if Keith Hernandez is the one that got Dwight Gooden & Darryl hooked on cocaine...being that Keith was a cocaine user at the time

Strawberry is the fucking man haha, not to mention he's one of very few players both Met and Yankee fans love.

Darryl rules. And I'm not even a New York fan.

Oh holy motherfucker. Daryl Strawberry is a real person? I always thought he was just a crackhead character in the Slim Shady Show.

Keith admitted to using cocaine in 80, 81, & 82, which was quite some time before he met Doc or Straw, so I don't think your argument fits.
As such, I'm sorry if your feelings are hurt by accuracy, but that's just the way life is sometimes.

@HarryPalma. If Keith got caught after the 1983 drug trials, he was banned from baseball was part of the agreement.
