Great video.....I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas...I made a video about it called, "Preparing for Peak Oil"...
These don't need to turn the deserts into a vast dust bowl, no! And turning it into a giant black field (of PV) is obviously a no no. Using billions of post driven COOL mirrors (without the need to bulldoze) is the final solution to UNLIMITED SOLAR thermal power with heat storage.
The CPV concept allows thousands of times of the energy production than normal one sun PV. Why? Cause the mirrors extend the rare (such as CIGS material) "range"! CPV is twice as eff as thermal, but needs storage...
solar thermal molten salt tesla turbine steam covered with phiometrically designed geodesic dome with transparanent tefzal skin . (maintains pristine enviornment for mirrors lowering maintaince costs dramatically .)
I wish they would work super hard on improving solar technology. I understand we are missing the whole deal when it comes to collecting the light from the sun.
Spain is building a solar trough plant in Morocco (by 2009) that will produce almost 500 MW. Solar trough technology (the long mirrors) gives the biggest bang per buck and is competitive - and expected to be much cheaper than grid. It's the future of power generation.
The future of scalable clean solar energy. 350 MW built and operational in California desert for more than 15 years. For more info see solarpaces dot org
I am a adimirador of energies I renewed and I would like to see the project of "Dish stirling energy" of geograficas coordinates for visualization in google earth.
Solar energy is definitely something that brightens up the future.

Free Energy is real and its here! The Oil companies are doing everything they can to stop these
information. If you want a Free energy machine , get the blueprints at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM , Join the
revolution!

when you have thousands of square km of open desert thats never going to be used, why not fill some with solar power plants!

There super heating ammonia. Ammonia decomposed into nitrogen and hydrogen at 650*F
BileMat65 4 years ago
Ammonia is expensive to create from nitrogen and hydrogen, and decomposing it serves no purpose.

'Solar thermal' usually refers to the use of solar collectors that heat water, not photovoltaic panels producing electricity

Fool. These aren't photovoltaics are they? Do they heat liquid to drive a turbine?
