Obviously the movie still has a chance of getting cut but for now they are looking for a studio to take on the movie so there's a high likelyhood of it. my second theory is that rose will find him and she will fight him. just as shes about to put the stake through his heart, they will kiss and they will do it. she relizes that she cant kill him, and he relizes that he cant turn her. they will become a strigoi and dhamphir couple.

1. Rose will hunt down Dimitri. He asks her not to kill him and that he still loves her and needs her to help him. Since Rose is shadow kissed, she will some how retrieve his soul and he will become a human or maybe a moroi. and rose will live with dimitri and live close to lissa.

i think the "blood promise" was just the thing they mention in the 1st book when both dimitri and rose decide that if either one becomes a strigoi they'd like to be killed, because they don't want to do something terrible... The 4th book is out on August, and there will be a LAST 5TH BOOK
