People complaining about the lack of good music today need to realize that right at their fingertips is a CPU, a device that makes gaining information and knowledge easier than it ever has been at any point in history. Another good thing about CPUs is you can actually use it to discover new music, you don't have to rely on the radio anymore.
There is a ton fo great Metal out there just beneath the surface. Whether you are into Thrash, Death, Black, Doom, traditional, its all there to be found.
Now, see.... I love all different kinds of music, but to me, THIS is heavy metal. Not the stuff where they scream/growl/grunt and make noise with their instruments. Don't get me wrong, some of those bands are very talented but most of the music I do not get nor appreciate as much as I'd like to. Hail anthrax!!! \m/

Death Metal is music's version of the Horror Film in a lot of cases. Death Metal is just as much Metal as this is. You don't like the vox, fine, but to call DM not Metal...

But I just don't "get it". I agree with the horror theme but I think it's not just portrayed in death metal, but in HEAVY METAL as a whole. The thing that kills it for me are the vocals. If they were cleaner, I'm sure I'd enjoy the music much more.
