Professional Air Guitarists actually work harder than regular guitarists. In competition they actually get judged on getting the fingerings right and everything. And they work with something that isn't physically there, so I think it's a really talent to be an air guitarist.

text limitations: lets just set the record straight. Air guitar is new to US (2003), but is 15 y.o. worldwide. Air guitar is looked down on by musicians. But that's b/c we aren't naturals or have the ear for correct tone. Expert air guitarists know the chords/scales/notes and play better air than actual guitarists. The rest are showboaters trying to win a competition. Tiger Claw is happy enough when the judges (2 outta 3 at SF/2008) say his was the best technical performance. Nuff said.
