  • I love this performance! Don't know what should be awful with it! And Mike Garson's piano playing is excellent, as always!

  • This is an awful version of a great song. Sorry David this is shit.

  • Reeves Gabrels must DIE

  • david is god and devil at the same time

  • Two good things in this video: Mr.Bowie and Gail Ann Dorsey.

  • HIdeaous...hideous...looks like that 80's vibe

  • Great song but this looks dead. No audience response.

  • "the elevator's broke so he slides down a rope

    on to the streets below

    Oh Tarzie go man go"

  • not one of his best periods, lots of angry coke huffing etc..sterile band .. but hey its still the brilliant Bowie

  • I wonder if he ever made any catty songs?

  • @elzashan "Cat People (Putting Out The Fire)"

  • @dickmac999 Haha. :) doggy AND catty songs. Proves how versitile Bowie is. ;) lol

  • I'd rather think of this a version with tons of anger....Halloween Jack with attitude.

  • omg wish i could have been there

  • Isn't it interesting all the mean, hateful, lonely losers who never have anything nice or positive to say?

  • @chairjockey1 Wowzie...you're such a sweetie...satisfied ? Now galop into the sunset, and whip your chair .

  • the genius that is Bowie at his enigmatic best

  • One thing about Bowie, he isn't scared to rearrange and reinvent his tunes...not a bad version, although not my favorite.

  • They skipped the verse: "...Meet his little hussy with his ghost town approach

Her face is sans feature, but she wears a dali brooch

Sweetly reminiscent, something mother used to bake

Wrecked up and paralyzed, diamond dogs are sableized..."

  • Yikes, really flubbed the lyrics there. Looks great though... leave it to Bowie to wear tailored rags!

  • David Bowies character and lyrics have always kinda reminded me of the Neuromancer novel by William Gibson. If you're a fan of both, you'll probably agree with me.

  • Love it! What's the other doggy song of the night?

  • he looks like an evil version of ziggy stardust here

  • yes, exectly! i LOVE it!

  • This Tin Machine yob on guitar has the worst tone of any of Bowie's guitarists, it sounds like a swarm of angry mosquitoes

  • @fuzzysting Reeves Gabrels. He's actually really good on Bowie's albums, great guitarist. Don't know what the hell happened here though, it's absolutely awful.

  • @fuzzysting I was never keen on Uncle Fester either

  • @fuzzysting replace them with vuvuzelas

  • @fuzzysting just look at the guitar, it looks terrible

  • @fuzzysting Wow that sting is fucking to the point.,one of Bowie's worst and boring backing bands.

    No diamonds HERE.

It fazes me to this day what went on in Dave Jones'head since the 8T's. oh well ,he became a rather successful stockbroker.

  • @fuzzysting But that's the best drummer Bowie ever had.

  • @fuzzysting That's Reeves Gabrels who, yes played with him in Tin Machine. I'll admit this isn't he greatest arrangement in the world, but have some fucking respect he pretty much DEFINED Bowie's guitar sound during the 90's.

  • @nostronico he's no Ronson that's for sure.

  • who is playing drums?

  • @ih8tbush Zak Alford - he played pretty much with Bowie through the late 90s

  • thanks dogonaut

  • a dogy song!!!

  • bow wow

  • Boooooie! one of the greatest artist of all time I believe..saw his glass spider tour in LA back in the 80's..watta great show..watta great seed of music to embed in your soul.....

  • Saw David Bowie must be one beautiful experience, i've never saw him... but if him one day he would make a concert i'll do everything for stay there

  • I saw Bowie in ATL Georgia during the Earthling tour. The way many of the classic songs were revamped was incredible. Seeing Bowie live was a great experience.

  • what look was bowie going for here?

  • Old Cool Zigy incarnation. He was quite renewing that days, he kind of invented Jungle and opened doors to Drum&Bass the way we know it now.

  • 50 years old. It was probably the rich rock singer's equivalent of a motorcycle. Whatever look you call it, he looks bloody well cool here.

  • Sounds great. Surprised they did this one during the Outside tour though.

  • INteresting version...Excellent!!!

  • Todd Browning's freak ya was, mannequinns with kill appeal...

  • bowie is the best coooooooooool

  • GRANDIOSOOOO!!!!

  • Saw this show in 74 twice in one day..the mainess with Halooween Jack and a second date at 9:pm live in incredible Toronto,Canada...a very BOWIE CITY...thanks Tornto,Canada for all the memories....what a day itt was in June'74 to start a 15 yr. old boys summer...The Dogz..4 -EVER!!!

  • You got me beat. I only saw him do it once in 74.

  • He did it in 2004 in amsterdam, it was the best version I ever saw or heard.

  • Does anyone know where I can get this on DVD?

  • this is mine ab fab bowie song

    thanks

    from a bowie fan

  • Doggy song lol..

  • i love it when he does his old stuff <3

  • This is not old. If it was a couple thousand years ago it would be old. I saw him do this in 74 and 96, and it was not that long ago.
