...up one place to number 20 - Digital Display by Ready For The World... and climbing to number 19, Rrussiannnsss by Schtinnnnnng. Right now though, The Hooters are moving. Number 18 in the Hot 100.
Hey colts fan , don't they teach grammar at IU? ( Hooters were) Don't forget their work with Cyndi Lauper on Time after Time which was nominated in 85 for song of the year. Must be rough out there with no Peyton.
This song and video remind me that people who just hate the music and fashion of the 80's and nothing else are idiots. The new stuff has gotten old too. People should finally start to admit it.
RADIO 1990!!!! Holy crap, NOBODY remembers this show! I bring it up sometimes, because this was what I watched videos on before my cable company got MTV. I think it was on USA Network? Damn, memories.
I played this cassette to death!!!! Man I wish I was still young and pretty and FUN!!! And there were still cool vids to watch and good music to party to...but time moves inexorably on and on!!
These guys were incredible to see live!! I was fortunate enough to have seen them open for Bryan Adams.. 2 of my favorites on the same bill.. These guys gave one of my favorite performances from Live Aid!! I was so disappointed that they didn't make the cut on the LIve Aid DVD :(
7-17-2010. Ain't it great? Fran Smith is 58. You and I have the same birthday (I'm 48). I have seen you all 3 times: February 1986, Carolina Coliseum, you opened for Loverboy. July 1987, Hampton Coliseum, Virginia, you opened for Bryan Adams. Two Canadian acts; what a coincidence. And finally, January 1990, The Boathouse, Norfolk, VA. Maybe you can come back to Columbia sometime and perform (Colonial Life Arena). Many happy returns.
WMMR played them heavy here in Philly. They used to rehearse in a old factory building in Feltonville. Eric and Rob used to eat at "Corned Beef Junction" at A+ Wyoming Ave
I remembered this song wayback in High school.this was my first record that i bought before Friends Again. And one of the band from "That's Entertainment" sung this song.
Fellow Philly 80's rocker Robert Hazard passed away on 8-5-08, what a sad day. Robert Hazard, The Hooters, Tommy Conwell, The Sharks -- these were the local bands that defined my teenage years growing up in the Philly area. RIP and God bless, Robert.
They were the headliners. This was shot during what I believe was 5 nights at The Tower Theatre in Philly. It was either Tommy Conwell or The Outfield that was the support act. I actually made it in the video as did Pierre Robert from 93.3 WMMR! Their new stuff is great, too. Check them out on MySpace.
