you cant rate a film based on its accuracy to its source (i.e film based on book). the reviews for all the films in the series have been negative (check Rotten tomatoes etc) the critics didnt rate it bad for not following what a "video game" had set out. In all their great popcorn movies.. you cant argue with that.. thats why theirs a 5th film on the way and more than likely a 6th.. wing all you want but theirs obviously a major fan base here.

@1234lilspooky I'm guessing you've never seen the movies because they are clearly a very different universe than the games. Unless I some how missed the game where the entire world is wiped out and Chris is a soldier locked up in a prison, Wesker is the CEO of Umbrella (instead of Spencer), and the Asford's are a lovable family of a father and young daughter that developed the T-virus to cure disease with.

I personally like the first 2 best bc they r zombie survival movies, to me, the newer films seem more like action films with zombies n them, they need to go back 2 the basics, dark inclosed spaces with a crap load of zombies

@bananaempijama because the people making the movies A: dont think the game is interesting enough for a movie or B: wants to amp every thing in the game to " Make it better" and/or taking parts out that are plot points in the game for more stupid things for the movie.

@bananaempijama Why meh? I thought it was good. I cant wait till the second one. I can understand why they didn't use the game plot. Its cause each Silent Hill game has a different storyline than the last. It's something that works for Silent Hill but not Resident Evil.

wesker isnt dead, watch after the the bomb goes off you can see a parachute off in the distance and right after the credits start there is another clip that shows jill valentine is leading the troops to attack everyone on the ship. she goes on to say "that the number of enemies is unknow but will include primary targets claire redfeild, chris redfeid and project alice. this will be the fihjt of your lives"

You must not of seen after the credits. If you did, then you know that ending wouldn't work. The movie wasn't that great in my opinion...

The bug on the chest was never explained. The dialogue was painful. The cloaked guy provided 'wtf?' laughs in the theater. The ending fight sequence was stupid. It reminded me of Apocalypse how it went from random sequence to random sequence. The battle in Tokyo and the 3D was quite entertaining, however. The Jill Valentine post-credits appearance was a positive since she was looking good in that outfit.
