Ronnie is only bigger because he's using considerably more steroids than Arnold, like all modern bodybuilders do. Lou Ferrigno is a good example, as he competed against Arnold in 1980 in Mr Olympia. He made a comback of sorts in the 90s, and due to the much greater influence steroids had, he weighed 30 lbs more than he did when he competed against Arnold.
That being said, you have to wonder what Arnold would have looked like had he been in his prime and competed today.
@ChudFapper I don't think Ron took more roids, I just think that the roids you had in the 70's weren't as effective as the roids at Ronnie's time. That will explain why Lou weighed more at his comeback. Arnold had a major heart surgery in his 50's, I don't really think he took any safe doses of it.
@gunnargunponwr i honestly think they do really up the dosage these days, but thats not the only thing, steroids are more effective but even training methods a different nowadays to. they can probably afford to take more these days because most of them are prescribed to them making them a lot safer as well. but i have never taken them so i do not know, this is just my opinion

Can't say that Ronnie aint much bigger than Arnold, but Arnold's muscles are better looking. Ronnie's stomach is way too big (because of steroids) but Arnold's waist is pretty small and that's good. Arnold has also done a lot of other great things (all the movies) and is better in many ways. So my vote goes to Arnold, of course.

Arnold's physique was pleasing to the eye. The balance he achieved between size and symmetry has never been matched imo. Ronnie Coleman and all of today's top bodybuilders are just like... damn! It's definitely bigger but it just looks wrong. I think top level bodybuilding today is just an impressive freak show. Back in Arnold's days they were way larger than natural but they still looked like humans. Now days... it's just... cartoons are less ridiculous.

Ronnie's proportions are much better leaning towards the X-shape and not the old Y-shape Arnold had (with thin thighs and no hamstrings). Arnold's proportions were mediocre compared to the modern champs. Look at Phil Heath--great flow with hardly any weak points. Today's competition is extremely brutal and harder than in Arnold's time.

it seems that Ronnie has bigger muscles, but Arnold beautiful, just look, i don't really like that much Ronnie because of the belly muscle shape, looks like a bit fat, but with muscle engrave or something like that (at some points), on the other hand, Arnold doesn't have that much of muscles, but the shapes and form is more like a human at least...like one guy said... @eatmychol123 i copied that line from other dude in other video, and when i think about it...it kinda fits the roles, and it was before Arnold became an actor if you didn't knew, so back then, he is some sort of hero guy, but Ronnie from outside look has ridiculous muscles which describes a role of escaped super soldier, Arnold doesn't looks like that he is that kinda role type (escaped super soldier), hes like Konan, and he acted in the movie Konan as Konan which was a hero.

Can't say that Ronnie aint much bigger than Arnold, but Arnold's muscles are better looking. Ronnie's stomach is way too big (because of steroids) but Arnold's waist is pretty small and that's good. Arnold has also done a lot of other great things (all the movies) and is better in many ways. So my vote goes to Arnold, of course.

Arnold's physique was pleasing to the eye. The balance he achieved between size and symmetry has never been matched imo. Ronnie Coleman and all of today's top bodybuilders are just like... damn! It's definitely bigger but it just looks wrong. I think top level bodybuilding today is just an impressive freak show. Back in Arnold's days they were way larger than natural but they still looked like humans. Now days... it's just... cartoons are less ridiculous.

So at the end result: Arnold with 7, and Ronnie with 8 and more first place finishes than anyone in history! Arnold is taller 237 lbs (at his peak) Ronnie at 280 lbs. More massive and more cut. Next!

@neilp77 I do know.But the drugs used in the seventies didn't have the same efficiency.You couldn't get as big than today.Nowadays,you can almost get massive without working out so much.Arnold body was a way more symmetrical than anybody before and afterwards.And the only thing bigger in Ronnie are the legs.I definitely prefer the upper body of Arnold.And no less cut

@MrBruntenebreux0211 Most people in general (mainly the public) do prefer Arnold's physique--but in competition today, Arnold would get squashed like a grape. Ronnie's proportions are much better leaning towards the X-shape and not the old Y-shape Arnold had (with thin thighs and no hamstrings). Arnold's proportions were mediocre compared to the modern champs. Look at Phil Heath--great flow with hardly any weak points. Today's competition is extremely brutal and harder than in Arnold's time.

@neilp77 Because the referees of nowadays pay too much attention about the massive point.40 years ago,the infrastructures to work out weren't so defined than now.Put Ronnie,Jay or Phil back to these days,they would not be so massive.And obviously Arnold's proportions are symmetrical.No need to be big to have a great body.Just look up Bruce lee

Anyone (Arnold) who lacks leg size, triceps (in relation to biceps) Chest that overpowers his delts does not have that right proportions to compete nowadays. You have to remember Arnold in his days--was massive and most people at the time were repelled (the general public). Times have changed. BB has evolved and ten years from now--even more.
