The Deal girls are just about as close to *cool* as a woman can hope to get. No overt sexuality, no pouting and strutting like a transexual whore (sorry Ms Gaga, but that IS what you look like); just simple brilliance and a total comfort with who they are. I love everything they did in that golden period. It will never get that good again.

I saw the Breeders a couple of times, also amazing. I saw the pixies once, and am about to see them again, I consider myself lucky. i also saw the KD6K. You have not lived until Kelley compliments you on your socks. the Deals are without equals. I like the Muffs as well for all of those without deductive reasoning.

I did see the Pixies last year in Charlotte. After campaigning for the Pixies to play in Florida, they are, in November. I'm going. And they are not headliners. The Killers are the headliner. I like the Killers, but the Pixies are the R. Stones of the 90's generation. That's like N. Young opening for Son. Youth.
