imo jozy is flat out better bigger stronger faster better shot with a nose for the goal freddy is good but all the hype wore him down jozy didnt have the insane hype like freddy freddy was just put into a bad situation he wasnt ready i bet he'll be on the roster for brazil 2014 though he wont stay down forever its kinda like donovan in the bundesliga all the hype but he wasnt ready for major european soccer now look at him best player the us has ever produced

i ilkem both but i honestly think that altidore is better. he gets more playing time and has a better 1st touch. adu is more of a fansy dribbler type of player. hel dribble pass and usually get an assist. both have alot of potential but no1 really gives them playing time. =/

Does anyone even watch the MLS? U.S. soccer will never be good until our league gets better. I used to think that we were getting closer after 2002 WC but it's obvious that isn't the case. Getting Beckham was a good move for the sheer fact that he could teach some young players how to actually play. But anyone who watches EPL, SPL or any other top league vs. MLS can tell it is a diff game. We also should've never fired Bruce Arena!! Hopefully the young kids can step up for us this summer

hull city should try and get adu on loan and let him and altidore team up! they have really good chemistry and adu can play a few different postitions. i like him at CF or CAM he is also left footed, so you could have him as a LM or LW.

no offense to adu or portugese people. most likely like this season. benfica will tell adu that he is not their plans. and he will be lookin for a loan deal. and on his twitter a of people told him to move to EPL so he will be looking to move to Hull City cuase lets face it. they need the talent. and adu can prosper in prem league. and may even get his dream move to Spurs

Adu has fallen off sense his move abroad he needs more playing time to develop.....all he wants to do is play for huge clubs where he gets no playing time which is dumb.

Is he good? Yes, Should he go to smaller clubs for more playing time over glamour squads? Yes

adu still has time but even with that he should be beating teams like grenada, which he was definitely NOT doing in the gold cup. he was consistently being run over by there defenders and losing the ball. he doesn't deserve to be in the US team.

Yeah i know what you mean. I probably dont know as much as you about the Usmnt because im from England but Usa are my second team and i know that Bob Bradley doesnt give him enough of a chance. I think he should start though and i just hope he has a good gold cup tournament.

i actually think adu should play in the midfield and supply goals for altidore and davies. he and donovan could be a great team. adu could play on the one wing with donovan on the other side or either one could play as as a cf or cam with two forwards in front.

in the 2007 u-17 world cup when US played Brazil USA won 2-1 both goals from Alitdore with 2 freddy adu assits. so yeah he set up 2 goals that altidore converted and they beat brazil. and come on we are talking about future Brazil senior national team players.

davies said that in an interview after the crash the doctors said they will looking to see world cup. and he thought what it meant was he would be ready by world cup, but i think the doctors literally mean they want to see world cup. after the crash he has made improvement,, but he can (im sorry) destroy his career like micael owen if he decides to play in world cup too early after recovery like michael owen did. and look at (in the next comment)

where michael owen is now internationally. i mean he is playing for man utd and he is finding his form again, but he is struggling to even make an apperance in a internationaly friendly. Davies is only 23 he can make the next world cup squad but for now he has to get fully recovered and get his speed and shooting straight. but as for world cup if he plays he might be screwing his repaired ligaments. and lacerations. after he is fully retired he needs to work on goal scoring so that he will(nxt)

Because a team of average players playing as a team can beat a team of all-stars playing as individuals any day.

When we begin to truly play as a team, while also pushing the strategic parameters of the sport itself in the process, then the US will begin to win matches on a consistent basis.

It's a gradual process, every generation of players playing a role in that growth. The best American players, for example, are likely just learning how to tie their shoes.

Isn't it strategic to place individuals on the same pitches as the world's top players? Isn't that in part what exhibition games are about for the lesser experienced players?

I played a role in the growth process, all generations of players do. We push the sport, try to keep it positive yet highly competitive. Results of everyone's efforts are now being seen on the world stage... with more to come no doubt.

And I meant more coaches & strategic parameters.

no one expected them started. there are only a few players anywhere that would have started over rui costa at benfica. and by the way, adu did score a few goals in very limited time. altidore also scored for villareal in only a few seconds of player (youngest player to score in la liga this year!)
