I know for a fact that they don't want to recycle/reuse, they are cynical money-makers who encourage "replace and drain syndrome" as long as it makes them a profit. They want you to throw out all your durable leathers and wools and replace everything with disposable vegan equivalents that cost 3-10 times as much as a recycled/reused leather/wool item, and last about half as long, if that.
