After watching Char's CounterAttack it's just hard to imagine that anything can happen after the death of Amuro/Char. UC doesn't seem as enjoyable without these two. Hell, I'd even accept the 4th Zeta movie as an alternate ending to the UC stories since it's nice to think Kamile has a good ending to his stories. Should I watch ZZ and V? Are they as good as 0079, Z, and CCA?

@ChaosZack08 The script received a rewrite halfway through when Tomino got the ok for CCA. ZZ is definitely a series worth watching, contrary to what some people say. After watching and rewatching ALL Gundam that exists, my least favorite full series is either Wing or Seed Destiny, even below X. My least favorite of any animated production is F91, just way too rushed. And God help anybody who has to watch G-Saviour. My top picks are Zeta, CCA, G, and Turn A.

Stacking "Anime Ja Nai" & the 1st half of ZZ and "Silent Voice" & the 2nd half of ZZ side by side is like putting the 1960's Batman with the Dark Knight. They're so radically different.

Silent Voice almost makes the 2nd half of ZZ look like a completely different show.

Tomino took a break ( he went on holiday somewhere because of depressing mood he got from directing Zeta) around first half in the whole series. Another director took a charge before Tomino took it back again around ep 26. Still, i like ZZ for its comedic value and its light hearted approach to the story. Think of it this way:

0079 : for logical minded person (less emo, more technical aspect)

Z : for emotional angst person (more emo, less technical aspect)

ZZ : for comedy person.

As for G-gundam, its target audience was 8-14 year old boys in japan. compared to the 15+ audience of Zeta, and Victory. Of course it probably is just a generational thing. I thought SD was the worst, I didn't think ZZ was THAAAT bad, I thought it just couldn't live up to Zeta...

ZZ moved really slow and had a reaaally different approach than Zeta, the action kicked in. in the later episodes... but it should never take that long to get into the action. I some what agree that this really wasn't that good, but in its true potential I think this could have really been good. The openings are kick ass though.

While ZZ wasn't as fast, it had unbelievable fire power... that was the only reason i somewhat liked that gundam, but other than that, it was too bulky for my taste....

I don't care what people say. I love Double Zeta Gundam. The theme songs rock, Judau was a nice change of pace from Amuro and Camille's nature, and I honestly feel that if Double Zeta Gundam had been as depressing as Zeta, then the franchise would've destroyed itself and Tomino might've killed himself.

You think I'm joking? I honestly feel Tomino would have killed himself. He hated making Victory Gundam, he's appalled at the ending of Ideon, and part of making the Zeta movies was so he could give it a semi-optimistic ending.

Gundam ZZ, in spite of its seemingly happy-go-lucky facade in the first half, is very deep. And if you know about Glemy in advance, you can clearly see hints of his true nature *very* early on.
