Leo Gordon was one of the most reliable, well prepared character actor bad guys in the business and he was also credited with writing many episodes for TV (including Cheyenne) and several motion pictures (Tobruk) as Leo V Gordon. He may have lost some fights but they were always to men like Clint Walker and John Wayne and even they didn't find it easy. Gordon was a great talent. One of his last appearances was in Mel Gibson's movie version of "Maverick."
Great fight scene. It was wonderful not to see that dumpey, out of shape, big nosed stunt man do it this time like a lot of the shows since it started being called the Cheyenne Show. It looked like all Clint. What a man!!!!!
Leo Gordon...Did 4 years for armed robbery in San Quinten...One tuff customer according to guards and prisoners. He was in 170 films and TV shows combined, even wrote some TV and movies scripts!!!!
Man! A shovel, an ax, a pitch fork and a grappling hook. This guy's in the wrong biz'ness. He should open up a hardware store immediately. Cheyenne is the man! I call him the superman of the west.
Sidenote: Ever notice in the 1950's Superman tv series after criminals had emptied their gun into Superman's chest they would throw the gun at him and he would move to the side or duck? Those guns must have been made from Kryptonite! Had to be.
@thewordkeeper Great info on Leo. I remember Superman ducking as not to get hit by the gun that was thrown at him. He could take a bullet though. HAHAHAH.
I've seen a copy of the call sheet for this day of shooting. They started fighting at 8 am and finished at 6 pm....with a one hour lunch break. Good Lord!
One of the best and realistic fight scenes ever with Clint Walker. Did you ever notice how with most fight scenes on the Cheyenne series that Clint's shirt always somehow remained tucked in his pants?! I love to see Clint Walker kicking butt. I love his hair falling in his face during this fight scene. What a hunk of a man! Thanks Theo!

Leo Gordon was as tough as he looked. In real life this would have been quite a battle even though Clint is a lot bigger..

They got dirt all over their shirts. And oh no Clint's has been torn. Shirts are expensive they should have removed them after the holsters.
