I'm pretty much aware that Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Seohyun and Sunny (though they seldom give her good parts) can sing very well.

Sooyoung and Yuri can sing, their voice are as awesome as the 5 above but they are seldom given parts that can showcase the strength of their voice.

Hyoyeon and Yoona? They can dance well, but their situation is the same as the 2.

They need some more exposure. They're great as the other 5.

It's always either Taeyeon and Jessica who does the adlibs.

I think they should perform ballads more, it really shows off their vocals. Their performance was simple, just sitting, harmonizing and belting out the high notes perfectly. I think the ones that don't normally shine, shine more in slow songs. And wow, Sunny blew me away with her high note near the end <3

Guys we all know that SNSD is usually divided in 2 groups. The lead vocalists and the lead dancers. And the lead vocalists usually dont get a chance to be in a dance battle. And also,lead dancers dont have too much lines like the lead vocalists have. Can we just stop saying 'underrated, not appreciated' for those. Because everyone in SNSD have their roles to the group, if someone is not there, the performance is not complete. So let's just think it in the first place, everyone has their own role

i want to agree with @technojheng but then if u realize, with their choreography hyoyeon is always in the side or at the back. she rarely go in the middle unless its a dance break. idgi, in suju eunhae is always in the front and the one whos singing is in the middle of eunhae. they should do it in snsd too. anyways, im glad hyoyeon is always in the middle in dance battles x)

If you listen to that Yuri's part(ga jil soo eob neun geol al myun seo) in original recording version(mp3), the [geol] is actually longer than this. She's not that good singer but she did pretty good in this stage. and ballad lipsync isn't allowed in this show(chocolate).

In Korea, there are 2 kinds of music programs.

1. Weekend music show. ex) mnet.countdown, inkigayo, m.core, m.bank

These shows cast so many groups and usually focus on visual dance performance. The audiences are almost young school girls. Band live is impossible.

2. Live music show. ex) lalala, sketchbook, chocolate, mnet soundflex etc.

These shows cast only 3~4 teams. focus on live sound. Bands are real. The audiences are adults.

and this SNSD performance is from 'Chocolate'.
