I'm sorry to dash your hopes, Raocow, but you pronounced Giko correctly. :V
Anyway, for Goal Before Your Eyes, the first info box is pretty straightforward, pretty much "this stage has a lot of goals but only one's real." The second mentions that you won't be able to get through the midway gate, and that if you do, the creator will take responsibility for it/what happens.
What's impressive about not eating for 9 hours? I generally eat once at 7 am and once at 7 pm. And I'm on the line between being overweight and being obese!
and No. I don't have a medical condition, and I don't snack, (unless unsweetened tea counts).

Is it wrong for me to find that impressive?? Unless said 9 hours mainly include sleep, I'd be completely starving if I went for 9 hours without eating. And no I'm not obese either, I'm actually bordeline "underweight" if that word exists.
I only mentioned my weight because most people would assume I'm underweight from eating that sparsely.
And being impressed means you don't understand how hunger works, so technically it is wrong.
See, the stomach can't send signals for being full, so it releases a chemical called ghrelin when it's empty. Ghrelin is constantly broken down and the body interprets it's absence as being full, (this is why it takes 20 minutes or so after eating to feel full)
Conversely, the body interprets a buildup of ghrelin as being hungry. But it can't detect absolute values, only changes in values; and the longer it detects something, the less important it considers it to be.
So after a while, (about an hour or so after you start feeling hungry), you'll become unable to feel hungry, (at least until your in the proximity of food).
Ergo you wouldn't feel starving after 9 hours without eating, you wouldn't even feel hungry.
Well I'm not completely sure if the existence of a slow metabolism is very clear. What i do know about metabolism is that it's variable: when calorie intake goes up metabolism goes up, and vice versa. Of course the effect takes a few days to activate and isn't permanent.
yo raocow you should mention dragonball z in your lps a lot more, otherwise, battery acid will corrode your soup.

Well, thanks for the biology lesson! :D I definitely didn't understand how hunger works.
Now that I think about it, it's definitely true that if you feel hungry but wait for a while without eating, the hunger sort of disappears.

I'd say you are utterly insane, but I went 30 hours without eating and the hardest part was the first 6 or so. ;P

do you have a slow metabolism? cause that would make sense.
