Maybe Russia shouldn't be making sharp price hikes and shutting off the gas supplies to a country when they need to transport 80% of their exports through that same country. No, they are not. Do your research before you make such statements. Currently, Russia pays Ukraine transit fees which are way below what is usually being charged for transit in some EU states. Russia transports 80% of its gas through Ukraine and makes big $ in revenue.

One Slovak newspaper writes today that Russia simply doesnt have enough gas for EU, this newspaper point on IEA - Internation energetics agency which wrote in 2007 that Russia in 2010 will have 28mld cubic meter defficit on their gas production and simply there will be not enough gas to suply EU anymore. And analysts wrote that this is Russian experiment to save some gas for their own households. Yes it can be truth. Maybe Russian energetic dominance is finaly over.
