I probably fall into category 5 -- want to make videos but have no talent for it.
I've made a few but never posted them because they are crap. I think YouTube has enough crap on it without my help. Besides, I wouldn't want to make a video unless it was as good as yours are, but you keep raising the bar.
Nice idea though, I hope your encouragement inspires someone talented.

Great idea Nalts! Your outlook changes when you post videos yourself. You can empathise with the makers of the other videos (a little more). Your less likely to be a hater if you're contributing something too.

Geez.. I WANT to make videos SO bad! However a lack of a decent computer and camera makes for hard video making. Sometimes when I think people are watching I dance around in front of the screen...so vicariously through all these dancing videos people are secretly watching me too. Watch out for when I DO get a camera. This place is going down in flames...hilarious flames.

I wanted to post months ago. I posted for 4 months. Last Sunday, I decided the negatives vastly outweighed the positives and I took down all my videos with the exception of 3, one of which pertains to YouTube. Deciding to take down my videos was one of the toughest decisions ever I had to make. I'm still shocked that I wiped out 4 months of work on YouTube in less than a minute.

I'm in the fourth group - a wannabe. Nalts, you've inspired me to go out and buy a camera. I got a Sony Handycam HDD DCR-SR40. er something to that effect (what's with all the letters?) Now the trick is to figure out how to use it. Then, what on earth do I film? I'll take suggestions from anyone who wants to offer them.

That's part of why I started making videos. If you spend a lot of time psyching yourself up beforehand, making sure you're OK with a bunch of people who don't know you insulting you, it's really not that bad.
