just a note, global warming does not occur from less heat escaping into space (that depends on the luminosity of the sun), rather global warming occurs from a decrease in the optical depth for IR photons (heat) which causes some absorption of IR photons in the atmosphere by greenhouse gasses. The gasses then radiate the photons in random directions some of which return to the surface rather than continuing out into space, which causes surface temperatures to increase.
