It has to be completely the record company's fault. Everything she does is great, but that first album was golden and every track could have been a huge 90's hit if people could hear it. I listened to it daily when released, but no one else really knew about it. I hope all the executives at the company in power at the time are now eating beef-a-roni out of a can in some rainy alley somewhere!

I still love love LOVE this song, but now that I've finally seen the music video, all I can think is .. This is the WORST music video I've seen in a very long time. How much less money would it have cost to just have her singing in an open alley way or a rooftop? It would have been 100x better too. Maybe that's the idea. How better to express a song about people being scumbags than screwing her over with a bad video.

You know maybe if the Police had made the "Every Breath You Take" music video with the band trapped in someone's lungs, rather than just boring shots of the band just playing in front of a black background, it would have been a huge hit rather than the incredible flop that it was.
