  • Can't we just remember Pavarotti and Björling both as superb tenors, who brought - and continue to bring - joy to millions? When did singing become a sport instead of an art form?

  • @EricRogg What surprises me is that some people think Pavarotti was better than Bjoerling.

  • I think that Bjoerling was actually the better tenor overall. he had a 30 year career, and always sang roles that were well suited to him. Pavarotti was a lyric, and thus shouldn't have taken on the heavier roles, which is why Pavarotti's voice deteriorated.

    Sorry, but he had in deed not the color, cover or quality Pavarotti had. His color, cover and quality ist quiet better than Pavarottis. Listen to "Nessun dorma" and otrhers of Björling.
