Saw her with my 12 yr old Son.. It was my treat to him for his birthday, in Portland Maine. She was literally awesome as my son used to say then... Barefooted and unshaven armpitts on stage the essence of woman.

I was so very proud to have had my son turn ME onto something so very kewl!

What really is great is the fact that the music video version sounds almost identical to the live version and today you don't see that. When you see singers live today you are excited and are thinking they will sound like they do on the radio, then you hear them and you think this person is actually terrible.

Great range and she sings with so much feeling, definitely from the heart, which is the secret to being a great singer. I learned a lot from her, I am a blues singer and when it comes from the heart, it is always better.
