  • Can't wait to see this! Awesome!

  • Great trailer! I look forward to the movie. Thanks for your efforts.

  • "..one thing that feels entirely good.."

    I love my bike too.

  • just wonderful

  • Interesting idea...what exactly did you have in mind? Are you connected with them? Thanks!

  • HOw about fusing this with "Improveverywhere"???

  • I'm from Germany and find the video very very good. So I still have a spark of faith in the Americans as an environmentalist.

  • thats the best part of the vid, truth hurts. great video making a cargo bike myself. reposted on undergroundvelo. com

  • I think taking out the effing democratic party isn't such a good idea. What would be the point? Democrats will support this initiative anyways and they should also realize that many who support green initiatives are rather disillusioned with the Democrats. The phrase here makes it VERY clear that cargo bikes are actually quite practical and not a form of identity politics, or a highly misinformed, religious-like idealism.

  • @minckminck the f-bomb creates problems. I love it as a statement, but it means I really can't share it everywhere.

  • @motthebug ah - yes the f word itself. I do understand. Kudos to you and your project.

  • about the only thing I want as much as a bakfiets is a vintage Schwinn shop sign

  • Yes!

  • Beautiful! What band play the song?

  • This video is so much fun--thank you for helping express in words the meaning of those smiles on our faces when we ride our cargo bikes. :) About the beginning part--perhaps because I had an idea of what was coming, I didn't dislike it. But if others insist people would become disinterested too quickly, I wonder what would happen if the intro could be interrupted by some of those glorious scenes of the bike + children zipping down the hill? Again, thank you for your work!

  • Drop the F word and it's a solid trailer

  • I am not the intended audience -- who is ? I think the crazy morning is only a bit too long, but I know what is coming. I agree with others and suggest taking out the Democratic Party thing, but also -- and this is related to what I feel is going to be problematic - I would take out the long stairs, the Volvo station wagon and the neighbour's Porsche. Lots of people live on hills and use them as an excuse to not cycle as you well know, so try to make this first part as inclusive as possible.

  • Hooray! (from Todd E.)

  • il problema sono le salite

  • I have to say that the democratic party quip really made me happy. It probably does make sense to take it out though.

  • LOVE IT

  • "Some way. Some how. These bikes can save the world...

And our souls along with it."

The quote comes from this immensely inspirational video. Although, she's talking about cargo bikes, I think the quote addresses ANY type of bike.

    Thanks for sharing this!

  • Fantastic video Liz, came across it last night from an EcoVelo post and watched it a few times through. My wife and I traveled out from Colorado Springs to Portland just for the Cargo Bike Roll Call and it was that weekend that I had my love for cargo bikes confirmed, was fun to see us in the vid. Can't wait to submit our own Colorado-hued video to your crowd-source efforts. :) Pedal On ~ Allen

  • @2bytandem

i'm looking forward to your "Colorado-hued" video!

  • This is one of the most inspiring videos i've ever seen. Thank you for this!.......Bo***ox to the car, I'm selling it in favour of an electric assist cargo bike and if I can do it here in the NorthWest Scottish Highlands then it should be possible anywhere...... I'm in!!!

  • Man that guy at 5:00 almost ate it!

  • Thanks! Link to my site is there in the description, Youtube hid it: click "Show more info."

Working on a revised version that will clarify the crowdsourcing process and how to get involved--for now you can find it on my site.

Will take out F*** democratic party, not sure about shortening harsh opening. To me the real magic is in that--no matter how much tragic crap we carry around in the back of our minds, and no matter how bad my morning is, it is ALL better once we are on the bike.

  • @LIZCAN Among people I know, the bad news *is* in our faces all day, every day. We had some great brainstorms here about having a cargo bike party -- getting families to tag along, bring thewhole party (including bike blender) to a park so trip and party would be highly visible... except now that it's sleeting, that looks so hard core. (My ride in this morning with just traces of sleet was FUN FUN FUN but I know to most people it looked uncomfortable...)

  • I love what a compelling, fun, practical case this makes for cargo biking. However, the first minute, with all the political radio bits, may have less committed/invested viewers clicking away. I'd say make your point, but get to the fun faster, eh? Does this have a website I can send people to? Hard to take action without a place to direct it.

  • Awesome!!!!
