  • great footage! gotta try this with mine

  • did u shoot this through a window or do u have a death wish ???

  • Lol, that's funny you ask that, the first thing I had to learn was not to swat at the bees flying around your head or freaking out when they tend to bump into you.

Basically , you don't bother them and they don't bother you and stay out from in front of their landing path, the front of the hive.

I inspect the hive without protective gear and a bit of smoke and haven't gotten stung yet, key word "yet". lol

  • @poprocz man thats the truth! they dont want to sting and die, there are some irrate bees that do sting, but thats usually minimum, the genetics of the bees too are different, i know one hive was so docile and then another is alot more agressive.

  • I need some of these bees to come to my house and clean my kitchen floors! lol

  • Orders have been given, honey bee's have been dispatched.

Just be on the lookout for the dark, swarming cloud coming your way.

  • Excellent info, thank you.

  • The behaviour is called 'washboarding', it is, as you said, cleaning of the front porch. One of the hygienic behaviours of the honeybee. In the Far East, bees that have learned to cope with Giant Hornets perform this behaviour to clean off scent marks made by scout hornets to mark the site for mass attack.
