  • This is not only my favorite John Denver song..but one of my all time favorites songs ever. I say him once in concert when he was very young..wish I had seen him more. He is so sadly missed....I remember the day he died and how sad and depressed I was over it..what a horrible tragedy for the world..he was one of a kind and just an amazing person!

  • Wonderful...i miss him!

  • Pięknie, na prawdę miło się słucha.

  • I learned to play 12-string just so I could play this song.

  • This just showcases what a great voice he had. Plus it's a very soulful song.

  • Classic John Denver! Summer night, just before the sun sets. Warm muggy evening and then "ladies a gentlemen...John Denver" Does not get better. this was the life...boy I miss him!!!!

  • Poetry in motion ... one of the most beautiful love songs ever written ... sung with pure heart and soul ... by the one and only person who can really sing it this way. We miss you so very much, JD. ~

  • Who wouldn't want a love like this? John Denver..what to say? " Come let me love you...let me love you again"..

Oh how we miss you! Rest in peace...

  • mtsthelensgirl, yes! this rendition of Annie's Song by John is beautiful! John

was always great in concert wasn't he?

The middle 80's of JD's career was not

my favorite though. Still prefer how he

sang Annie's Song when he was playing those great Guild guitars and was being backed up by musicians like Weisberg, Taylor and Kniss .

  • lvslmsc, Not that I felt JD was ever bad, but I personally preferred his voice in the later years. Like a fine WINE his voice got better, richer, deeper IMHO. And I think Machito Sanchez added a lot to his sound. Plus what can you say about James Burton...well as JD would often say "simply the best."

I don't think I ever heard anything but amazing musicians backing up that amazing singer & I was blessed to see him many times from the beginning to close to the, sigh, end. YaY for video!

  • One of the things I am looking forward to with these DVDs are the concerts such as this one set in the 1980s. I believe it was in the 1980s when his voice really peaked and was at its best and this version of Annie's Song really is a good demonstration of that.

  • I agree Amadeus. JD's voice is at it's absolute best here. Perfect in every way.

  • This is the man who inspired me to learn guitar.

He is completely my idol and I so wish I could have been at that concert :(

  • WOW...... Beautifull song sang by a beautifull man.... Love you John, you are só missed...
