have flown once with one engine only. we had an EEC fault before departure and following procedures, we turned off the EEC of the affected engine. in flight, the MFCU totally failed and rhe captain decided to do a single engine approach, well, it seemed to be a normal flight...except that you can see on engine not workin.
No he means download the real aircraft LOL. A file that if printed out on a large 3D printer will print out a full size 3d model of the Atr72 complete with willing air hostesses.
no they cant. A jet engine has apprx. the thrust os 2 or 3 propellers. That is not enough to het an A380 of the ground. Its not even enough to get it taxing down the runway at the write speed
@diggydog40 -- No. An A380 would not have a "hard time" flying with 3 engines. It can take off and climb fully loaded with passengers and fuel with only 3 engines.
true..and at high altitude you don't need to climb. unless we speak about a high altitude airfield. but for hose the climb gradient is still at above 50ft/min
This ATR does not have the engine off, it is on feather. The engine is working but the propeller isnt. Once the pilot unfeather the engine the blades will again to give power.
ATR-72's can still fly even with one engine firing. it was designed to fly in one engine in an event of 1 of the 2 engines failed. and it can land safely without even a scratch on the pilots and passengers.
all certified aircraft must demonstrate they can fly on only one engine. it is a requirement for the certification. at any stage of a flight multi engine aircraft must be able to fly and even climb at engine failure.
you mean with one less engine. If people were going by what you are saying then you would expect an a380 or a B747 to fly with one engine, Not possible. The law requires MINUS one engine not Fly with one engine. Just clearing that up for you :)
no trick with the camera! The video was made at an air show (aero 97) in Fridrichshafen, Germany in April 1997. They really shut down the engine for the low pass ant startet the engine again for landing.
yes i know what your talking about moris... but look at the difference between the two props... the #2 engine's prop is wide because it is moving faster, but the #1 engine's prop is narrow like how it actually is...
the number 1 engine was shut down... if it wasnt, then you would still see exaust coming form it, but you dont... and i was talking about the propellers and why they look the way they do in the video...
Neat.

simply atr aircrafts are the best one.

Normally planes don't fly as far on one engine as they do on two engines. I think on one engine they only fly as far as their fuel will let them.

How far can a plane fly with only one engine
pacorafeh22 2 years ago
by law minimum 60 minutes of flight one engine out must be possible. (ETOPS aircraft up to 180 minutes)

but not ATR they are not ETOS rated

able to fly and climb during at certain conditions. If your heavy and at high altitudes you wont climb.
