  • great job man.. what your bowing.. it going off the board.. or is that suppose to be like that?

  • Great Song c:

  • Love it

  • I just had an orgasm in my ears! Love this! Well played!

  • wow! very few mistakes! i'm impressed! i've always wanted to play the violin.

  • The Butterfly! Excellent piece. Next time don't add reverb.

  • HOLY CRAP! I took one look at you and thought you were my brother for a second. And then when you looked at the camera it actually gave me goosebumps O.o However, it's quite clear you are not my brother because he is not nearly as talented as you ^^

  • try keeping ur bow straight :) and lower half perhaps?

u got the feel, and the phrasing :) x

  • Good

  • very nice , LOVE UR MUSIC hahahaaha, but u loo sad but that is allright hahah nvm hahaha

  • Pretty good!;)

  • i love the song!!! P.s ur cute ;)

  • Love this song!!! fantastic Rendition!!! so sad this has so few views!! but dude keep it up!!! :)

  • haha your cute:) this is an awesome song to do irish step to. a simple slip jig :)

  • It's very good :D

    Encore bravo!

  • very beautiful, chin up my friend!

  • hey you did good! the only two things I would work on is to watch your left wrist and try and make sure you dont look like your palm is against the neck. hold your hand straight out, like your pushing your wrist outward, and second to watch your bow placement cause sometimes you played where the neck started and you wanna try and keep it between the bridge and the neck. but other than that, fabulous!!!! :D

  • well done!u jst need to relax ur wrist jst a tad cz sme notes r too sharp and sum too flat so watch out fr ur tense wrist other than that good job

  • well, I can see a farm

  • aiiiii *.*

  • i want to play it!! can you send sheet to me?

  • Cool, an Irish folk theme

  • Great piece, how old are you?

  • It's wonderful! :)

  • You Are Great! I need to catch up on my practice as well! I Love the Pice and Keep up the good work! :D

  • LOVE it!

  • What is this song called?

  • Nice song.... But your pancake hand and windshield wiper bow are hurting my eyes!!!...IT BURNS!! OH GOSH IT BURNS!!

  • Wonderful piece. :)

How long have you been playing violin?

And may i ask if you've taken private lesson? Because i've heard that it's really hard and in the first several years or so in taking violin lessons, you only master 3rd up to 5th position. & there are 15 positions! So I'm wondering, if that is true?

  • @musicindisguise I've been playing for 2/3 years & yes it's true that you will only get up to 3rd & 5th pieces, however the vast majority of violin pieces only go so high on the fingerboard so all the 15 positions are not super important for you to learn. Generally only the truly virtuosic pieces use all the positions & it will take you a while to learn those ;) Personally I found the violin pretty easy but it really depends on how much practice you do! Good luck :) Sam.

  • Wow, you're very good! How long have you been playing the violin? How long did it take for you to sound decent?

  • hey nice job! I'm a violinist too and not that I'm the greatest at giving advice but my teacher always tells me to push my right hand out when i play so my bow stays relatively in the middle. And just like what the bugsy309 said, it will make it sound much cleaner. Otherwise, way to go!! =]

  • You play very well, and your awfully cute!

  • you play good! keep up the good work!

  • this is really good(=

  • Great job :D You should look up Mairead Nesbitt play this. If you like i can hook you up with the sheet music to it :D

  • Hey, nicely done - keep at it! :)

  • not bad kiddo

  • Amazingly played! No faults of what I could see or hear, maybe, just a suggestion, use more of your bow? Mind, I do know the notes are short.

Still, very well played mate, i'm honoured to listen to this and it's a privelage to have people our age playing music, so for that - respect!

  • what's the song called?

  • great job. just try to use less shoulder

and OPENING your elbow so you can

have a nice straight bow. o n try to use

all your bow to ;p keep it up!

  • good job but like others say your bow is everywhere. BUT whoever down there said it needs to be close to the bridge is way wrong. you can play close to the fingerboard too depending on the piece.

  • Did you film and record(the music) seprately?

  • good job!! better than me and i've been playing for 3 years...

  • your hot and good hahaha perfict match!

  • sounds so beautiful my friend :-)

    XxSarah

  • bravo

  • how the hell does your tone stay intact while your bow goes all over the place !??!! it should be scratching like hell :|

  • @alex240390 i know right...haha

  • @alex240390 i kept thinking that. haha

  • GOOD JOB! =-)

  • Thats so good :) I do a dance to this, its awesome music, well done :D

  • Wow, I really loved this. Thank you so much for the awesome upload, and keep practicing, I'd love to see you get even better. :D

  • That's pretty cool bud. Keep it up, music is a beautiful thing.

  • great job!

  • I like it :D 5/5*

  • I envy your talent! Favorite and 5/5..

  • Awesome <333

Just one thing, I don' think I like the "Butterfly Jig" very much ¬_¬

  • hey thanks but why don't you like the name? : )

  • very nice. :) one pointer, watch your elbow because you bow is sliding. keep you elbow in a more square position and it will make it sound very clean! but it was very nice. :)

  • yeh thanks when i watched this vid i was like :S

  • ... a follow up: i find traditional & folk violin music "rhetorical" ... not the "expressive" stuff others believe... the latter is an idea that stemmed from the Romantic period... urs is a style that predates this... keep it up ;)

  • hey thanks it means a lot :D

  • nice sound .... don't mind much the comments of others... i'm sure in time u'll do better/correct whatever fault others see... :)

    5/5 !!! :D

  • You should check out Mairead Nesbitt play this song It gets fairly fast. I can play the fsat part too... just needs like a liitle more work but not to much :)

  • What's the name of this song? It's very pretty.

  • butterfly jig : )

  • pretty flawless man. nice work.

  • Hi =) That was Great =D 5*

    Thomas

  • I Love this song!

    Sounds beautiful!

    5 stars!

    XxSarah

  • You're pretty good. Just a few comments though. You need to work on your bowing. If you watch yourself, notice how your bowing slides back and forth all over the place on the strings. It diminishes some of the sound. You also seem to avoid the bottom half of the bow. It could just be personal preference, but I think if you used more of your bow, it'd have more of an effect and sound a bit more expressive. At the moment it sounds a bit mechanical to me. Good job though, keep at it.

  • Ohhhh, That Great!!!!!

    I love it!!!

  • Damn, you're good. Flawless isn't a word tossed around on Youtube much, but you deserve it. The sound quality on the video was excellent as well, crisp and clear, much better than most of the things other folks post. Keep up the great work, even if you make the rest of us gnash our teeth at our own lack of talent ;)

  • wow that was very beautiful piece :O clap clap clap ~!~
