When I first saw the games logo on my DS right before starting it up I was like "hey it's edward on the left and al on the right!" lol and I wasn't too far off except for the fact that the knight on the right is zelda.

This is seriously one of the better games for the DS. The gameplay's great, the soundtrack's awesome, and the train sequences are actually pretty engaging (more fun than PH's steamboat).
I particularly love all the subtle references the game makes to previous LoZ games, particularly Phantom Hourglass and Wind Waker. You actually can place this game somewhere in the timeline (at least, in continuity with PH & WW).
i love how Niko is an old man now. hahaha this is one of my favorite hand held zelda titles. Cole is actually a pretty dark character, he would have fit in well in Majora's Mask.
Get spirit tracks, it's like hourglass enhanced a bit. If I had to pick one it would definitely be spirit tracks, just because it has more content and the train is awesome in my opinion.
I completely agree. Spirit Tracks is a better version of PH. And the train does kick ass. Also the graphics look amazing for DS and I like the plot (that may just be me though). This is without a doubt the best DS game in my opinion, even topping animal crossing ww. But zelda is a total bitch. All that being said buy the fucking game!

Right I myself am a hardcore zelda fan you know like "gotta have 'em all" But I really enjoy this game. Combines 2 of my favorite things, Zelda and Trains. And driving the train to me, is more fun that the boat in hourglass xD
December's issue of Nintendo Power gave away a lil from the beginning of the game. :D Its cool. SPOILER! The night is actually Zelda's spirit. She can controll them and later in the game she can go from one to another. Gettin this game. December 8th (the supposed release date). Zelda FTW!! - [+ -- ••] Nintendork. :D

I had no problem with windwaker personaly. That was a very good game in fact. Phantom Hourglass was good too but come on, Spirit Tracks? as badass as this looks, i hate how they've limited exploration of hyrule. if they let link roam wherever on foot or a horse, it would be a billion times better than having him ride on tracks that only go certain ways. you can only really explore the "islands" (even though they're not actually islands, you can tell the game is set up almost exactly like phantom hourglass so they kind of are like islands). they just took the setup of PH and changed water to ground and limited where you can go.

I also couldn't find any major new gameplay experience other than the new weapons and maybe the story line (compared to how it was from windwaker to PH). I hope it won't feel repetitive to those who played Phantom Hourglass. Yet, still the game cannot be judged/rated by the trailer alone. I hope that I'm all wrong and that the new Zelda will rock, just like every other Zelda did.

But it's not the CORRECT date. The actual date is unknown, and is possible to never be found out.

I particularly love all the subtle references the game makes to previous LoZ games, particularly Phantom Hourglass and Wind Waker. You actually can place this game somewhere in the timeline (at least, in continuity with PH & WW).

i love how Niko is an old man now. hahaha this is one of my favorite hand held zelda titles. Cole is actually a pretty dark character, he would have fit in well in Majora's Mask.

Get spirit tracks, it's like hourglass enhanced a bit. If I had to pick one it would definitely be spirit tracks, just because it has more content and the train is awesome in my opinion.

I completely agree. Spirit Tracks is a better version of PH. And the train does kick ass. Also the graphics look amazing for DS and I like the plot (that may just be me though). This is without a doubt the best DS game in my opinion, even topping animal crossing ww. But zelda is a total bitch. All that being said buy the fucking game!

Right I myself am a hardcore zelda fan you know like "gotta have 'em all" But I really enjoy this game. Combines 2 of my favorite things, Zelda and Trains. And driving the train to me, is more fun that the boat in hourglass xD

December's issue of Nintendo Power gave away a lil from the beginning of the game. :D Its cool. SPOILER! The night is actually Zelda's spirit. She can controll them and later in the game she can go from one to another. Gettin this game. December 8th (the supposed release date). Zelda FTW!! - [+ -- ••] Nintendork. :D

People are acting so weird about the past few games in zelda starting at twilight princess and up, They act weird because those games are just DIFFERENT. every game series needs a new twist and some zelda fans don't like the new twist in Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, and probably Spirit tracks. Nintendo i thought really hit it off with those games, cuz its not the same hyrule, Its a new land, and u have better technology.

I had no problem with windwaker personaly. That was a very good game in fact. Phantom Hourglass was good too but come on, Spirit Tracks? I think that nintendo is just f*cking with us now... seriously. I was waiting for another classic zelda style game but now we get more gimicky bull sh*t from nintendo AGAIN! Why don't they just make a Zelda game that the fans actually want instead of making zelda games for 8 year olds who havn't heard of Zelda games before. I love Zelda games but this sucks...

as badass as this looks, i hate how they've limited exploration of hyrule. if they let link roam wherever on foot or a horse, it would be a billion times better than having him ride on tracks that only go certain ways. you can only really explore the "islands" (even though they're not actually islands, you can tell the game is set up almost exactly like phantom hourglass so they kind of are like islands). they just took the setup of PH and changed water to ground and limited where you can go.

Great observations my friend! I totally agree with you! That's the impression I got from watching the trailer. I also couldn't find any major new gameplay experience other than the new weapons and maybe the story line (compared to how it was from windwaker to PH). I hope it won't feel repetitive to those who played Phantom Hourglass. Yet, still the game cannot be judged/rated by the trailer alone. I hope that I'm all wrong and that the new Zelda will rock, just like every other Zelda did.

Hehe. But my guess is that the explanation will be a very simple one and probably not one they necessarily put a whole lot effort into. They put Hyrule under water basicly just to have an excuse to introduce the sail boat and now they want you to travel by train instead. Maybe somebody put a curse on Hyrule that transformed all the water into train tracks? lol
