yes, you can remove the front. Ebay has a pretty big selection of various KRZR parts... they also sell less expensive cases or skins for them, and that might cover it up.

I have that phone, the Camera quality on max res is pretty astonishing for such a small lens, and the video is pretty decent too. I swear everyone in here is under the age of 13 :P

I've heard that the great glassy sheen on this phone is accomplished by using...well, an actual thin coat of glass, over the metal. Which makes me wonder what happens to it if it's dropped from even a short distance.

More like the thin coat on an ipod nano. Of course, scratches would be another thing altogether - the glass finish on an ipod hardly shows scratches, but then it's on white, not dark blue... :S

I have a black Nano, and if I didn't keep it in a little case at all times, it would have tons of scratches. I know because a friend of mine doesn't keep hers in a case, and it scratched in no time. I figure the KRZR will probably be the same -- but I'm hoping not.

it doesnt scratch like ipod nano does. rather it cracks. mine did when i dropped it from the height of my knee, but then again the air con in my school was really cold so i dunno if that contributed :/
