Great review! I'm an S9-HD user, the sound quality is orgasmic for music but I do get complaints about the call quality on the other end (mostly from jealous friends though). I must say that I haven't noticed the choppiness of BT unless I turn on my phone's WiFi feature or the battery is low. I also have never had cut outs around Penn Station or any specific area of the city. Maybe you just had a bad model or a lowly charged one.
Overall, good work! I hope you're enjoying the Altecs!
Why did you choose those 4 headphones, there seems to be a lot of different models out there. Just asking that in case you had made another review somewhere...
I'm a big fan of bass sounds and my ears are bigger than yours. Do you still think Altec is my choice to make?
Thanks a lot once again, give you 5 stars!! Regards from Spain!
Just so all of you know, I've placed the acoustibuds directly over the stock eargels by just slightly folding the flap down and I get great sound and a much better fit without too much MacGyvering.
Shit, my comment didn't show up. Anyway, I was saying picture this...Glue, pinch and close the stock eargel opening and cut off any excess. Punch a hole in the middle of the stock eargels, then place the acoustibuds over them. What you think? If I can find some replacement OEM eargels then I'll try it.
Hey chief, I went with the backbeat 903's, thanks to your earlier reviews. Will these acoustibuds work with the BackBeats also? My only gripe with the BackBeats is that they don't go into my ear canal far enough.
i agree with you.. im a big fan of in-ear earbuds.. i just tried the acoustibuds on the backbeats and its a no-go.. the acoustibuds would need to go OVER the earbuds on the backbeats and it wont go in the ear.. if you find any good alternatives, please let me know..
I've been doing some mad searching, but come up with a whole lot of nothing. I can't even find replacement OEM eargels for the BackBeats. After a closer look at the stock backbeat eargels, it looks like with some creativity and an exacto-knife, the acoustibuds may fit over the stock backbeat eargels. I don't have any acoustibuds so I couldn't tell. Maybe you can try a quickfit over the eargels with the acoustibuds and report back?

Nice, where does the sound come out of if you folded the flap down though?
