the buid quality on that HP is going to be its weakness just like the Asus and the Toshiba...look at their laptops and the build quality...tons of plastic, I don't think anything soon will compare to the Motorola Xoom...

Android 3.0 will ultimately beat the iPad, it took android for smartphones about a year and a half to beat the iPhone but now android is king among smartphones.

Apple is good but they can't possibly compete against 10 or 15 manufacturers that'll bring really good android tablets to market

You can install apps that just don't work

Not to mention that approximately 250 android apps were recently found to have malware imbedded in them.. Because it is an open source market area.... Don't do your banking on it guys..

@Kreapen1 Not really. Just doing an overview of the operating system. I may have came off that way, but it was mainly because I was excited lol. But like anything else Google releases, Honeycomb is still a large beta and has issues.

@BlackPrince310 I've been doing a lot of research into the Xoom and I appreciate your showing the flows and limitations of the apps at the beginning of the year. Currently, trying to decide between going ahead and getting the Xoom or waiting for the Xoom 2. Looks like the Xoom FE has changed some of the specs and the design...hear the speakers are now crappy. I'd be interested in knowing if any of the apps you displayed have been improved on the Xoom since the time of this review??

Apple is like a socialist compared to Android being a capitalist.

Apple believes in controlling everything. Hardware, software, and everything else. Whereas, Android is a software OS that can be put on devices from many different device manufacturers. For those not familiar with economics… This is called competition.

@OSUinOKC Complete opposite, I'm against apple computers and devices. At the time I only have there phone but I was going to get a xoom until I saw this video.

Fact is apple is offering a better deal between the market for a better price.

I was close to buy a samsung galaxy when they were released and held out for the next gen tablet to run a android system BUT cost of a xoom to what is being offered in support isnt there.

So no not a fan boy but I do admire how tough you are to run your mouth

@Kreapen1 It's got around 37 apps right now that developers have specifically optimized for android 3.0, but you can still use apps from the marketplace not optimized for tablets (but there has been an issue with some of these). More optimized apps will come and the apps not optimized and don't work on honeycomb will be updated so they'll work fine on xoom at some point. However, do you really even need apps (besides netflix cause of silverlight) when you've got full fledged flash?

@Kreapen1 also it's not that hard to distinguish apps that could have malware in them. Don't tons and tons of Apple accounts get hacked all the time and people buy tons at the app store/itunes store whatever other stores accept Apple accounts. And I guarantee that of the 400,000 apple apps at least 250 have malware or something equivalent.

Notice how he didn't he didn't show you that when choosing a picture you got from the Internet or a personal picture. The reason is the Xoom has issues with image resizing. That really sucks, honeycomb fail
